New Season, new thread! Here starts my first full season as a U21 coach!
Let's start with a review of the youngsters:

Guards: No Gulch, Nogwahya or Moseqani, but there are a bunch of youngsters ready to improve. Fitchen and Tempo are right now the better guards, but they're only 19 years old so they have 3 more seasons to improve. Behind them there are Mbata and Kwansah, that have both reliable owners, so they should grow well. Probably Mangobe and Pillay will play in the guards position a little. Brocklehurst (on sale) could be a surprise here, so buy him if you can train him properly!

Small Forwards: Masilea dominates the SF position that features also Mwakangale, Ntsoane and Russell, but all three of them have in the skills, so they are fine in a reserve role.

Big Men: That's our best sector. Tumbumuzi was trained great last season, Mahinya will improve a lot and Msimang will be the reserve of both. Munthali, will have to reach a good level of ID by the beginning of next season when Tumbumuzi and Msimang will be 22.

Thanks Ebene :)

The repechage round is really tough! It's hard to expect a win against one between Latvja, Brasil and Taiwan, so we'll try to focus on the consolation tournament to get at least 2 wins.

As for the roster we are a little worse than last season, but if Fitchen, Kwansah, Tembo, Mbata, Munthali are trained well this season, we could have a strong roster in s26 and try to get to the semifinals in next season's Africa Tournament.

ehm I am missing some entries in the DB!!! (Nogwahya at least)

Gulch and in some measure Moseqani are good for NT future, just need to be trained.

Sorry for my late answer, it's been a couple of busy days! I'll send you the skills of Nogwahya via BB-Mail since I'm not his scout on the DB!

Nope, I can only update my players actually!

do that! I just reviewed all the players in the DB and cannot do anything else without impacting TS. I will assign all players to you as scout as discussed separately (just be patient a couple of days more). Just send me a gmail with skills of players not already in the db and I will add them (for sure, last draft picks)

So, here we are, as predicted, in the Consolation Tournament.
First a little summary of our first three games

SA 66 Ltavija 107 (25678)
Latvija (4th in the world ranking) was too strong for us. This game was never close except at the beginning.
On SA side a good game played by Tumbumuzi and Pillay, while the others struggled with their shooting.
On Latvija side took place the domination in the paint of Bruvelis and Vilums.

SA 67 Brasil 94 (25679)
Another difficult game against a top-10-ranked U21. A strong start for SA as we managed to win the first quarter led by a sensational Masilea. Brasil fights back in the second quarter going up by 12 at halftime, but a good third quarter helps us to stay close to Brasil (58-68). Unfortunetly the last quarter is a disaster: only nine points scored and the dream of winning against a top tier time is gone.
Good game for Masilea and Fitchen. Msimang and Mangobe play well in the starting five, while Tumbumuzi struggles and Mahinya is benched for is bad Game Shape.
For Brasil, Micuim MVP hands down.

Taiwan 96 SA 74 (25682)
Another strong team, the 19th ranked Taiwan. Another time we never managed to stay too close to them. We played better in the second half, when their starting five rested on the bench.
Our bench was ugly, Masilea struggled A LOT and Tumbumuzi had trouble scoring. Mangobe and Msimang were our best performers, Mahinya still on the bench with GS stuck at 6.
For Taiwan Kit Seng MVP with 18 points.
