If you want shotblocker you have to train him on your own. First change in SB was in 23rd season, so there wasn't much time to adjust this information to the market. Until people see that it works, nobody will start training SB as a main skill.

I can only say that my training is still on going and my players are not there yet. I can put on the field following SBs: 15, 13, 9. Now training OD and then some more SB/ID. My OD targets are above 7 for sure
After couple of seasons I can tell more how SB works in our highest league, which means very good opponents.

It is not a chicken-egg problem. Its a market opportunity.

No players on the list, a new generated demand... Too bad it does not fit my training plans.

It would be nice to test our teams against eachother/the same opponents. I have more SB at the guard spots/SF but less on the bigs.

It would be interesting to see how important it is to have SB on the bigs or if it will work anywhere.


I'd still suggest a control group where you have bigs with good ID and OD but low SB. My guess is that the OD will end up being a significant contributor in both scenarios.
