We should have nightly notables between leagues. For example, the person that scored the most, grabbed the most rebounds, most steals, most blocks and the best game that night.

Doesn't that sound creative. Look into it Buzzer Beater makers.

I think it could be fun, perhaps for newcomers mostly, team of the round, mvp of the round, and little things like that.
