“Who is E.B.W. and what is this election even about?”
Hello there! I am E.B.W., manager of the ExplosiveBubbleWrap, and I will be running for the managing job of the U21 NT. I have been around BB since season 18 and I ran in the elections two seasons ago, receiving 24 votes, but was beat out for the job by fewmit (You know… the old yet sexy hippie). fewmit is an amazing manager that did a very great job making use of the players he had and lead the USA U21 NT to two more Continental Champion awards, making it 5 consecutive Continental Championships in a row! However, after two consecutive seasons of struggling when dealing with tougher competition and not placing in Worlds, I look to change the nature of our U21 NT.
“Why do you think you’re the manager for the job?”
I understand BB well and have been very active on the onsite forums and more importantly on the USA offsite forums. I have helped out the U21 NT both with scouting as well as game plans, roster setup arguments (at times there were a lot of them last season haha) and tactical discussions. On top of that I have actively trained two strong prospects for this upcoming U21 season in Edju Palmer and Rudolph Dennison, which has forced me to pay very close attention to the season 26 pipeline and the scouting pool around them. Point being, I have taken great notice in this and next season’s prospects and can help those managers know what to train in order to make our U21 NT successful. I also pride myself and trying to get other managers involved on the offsite and being very personable, which I feel is needed for a managing job, when more people than just yourself are involved.
“What is your plan for a successful U21 NT?”
The plan is a lot like the plan that is already in action except for a couple changes/additions. Obviously the competition is not as gruesome for Continental as it is for Worlds, so my main focus will be on training and getting players set up nicely for Worlds (Meaning the current 20 y.o.s and 18 y.o.s). This way, we can have the firepower to perform at a higher level for Worlds, which as of late has been our Achilles heel. The other situation that I feel needs to be addressed and dealt with is the GDP (Game-Day Prep) feature that will be implemented this season and in future seasons. It is more crucial than ever to have true PFs (Such as Joseph Hamel last season) and true SGs. The common LI guards and Center bigs may or may not cut it when other tactics are needed instead of LI. My main goal is to have a solid balanced team for Worlds so that we can play at least two or three different offensive tactics and not be predictable. Once again, this is mainly revolving around the idea of being more successful in Worlds, since for the Americas Tournament, we will probably breeze by most of the teams. Adding onto this it is also nice and more reliable to have USA managers for all the key players on the team so if you see an amazing U21 American trainee on the TL, don’t be afraid to go for him. Besides that, the normal discussions weekly on game prepping and roster/tactic setup is always useful.
“Is there anything else to know?”
On the USA offsite, our motto is pretty much “The more the merrier”, or “Insert hilarious hrudey/A-Dub quote” so please get involved on the offsite and help out. As of late some of the key members on the offsite have dropped off, so we need to rebuild our crew on there. Even just a comment here and there or an opinion on something small cannot hurt.

I’ll be more than willing to answer any questions you have, so please feel free to bbmail me or ask a question on the Election debate thread. Thank you in advance!

E.B.W.

Let's keep this short and sweet. If you have any specific questions about how I want to run this team and stuff like that, there is a debate thread.

Who is Oriolekid
I am Oriolekid. I have been playing Buzzerbeater for 4 years, 3 days, or 14 full seasons. I am a buzzerbeater veteran, and a USA offsite veteran. During my time in BB, I have been in been in Div V two times, DIV four times, DIII five times(now six), and DII three times. Now you might say I have failed a lot. That is not true, because each time I demoted from II, I was primary training a U21 prospect, and the one time I wasn't in II, my U21 prospect Dan Gardner gave me the money to go from IV to II in three seasons. That shows that I am a HUGE believer that training a U21 guy is the best way to promote in this game. I have trained three U21 prospects in my career. 3/3. And they were a PF, a Center, and a PG. I'm currently training a SF. While I don't believe he'll make the U21, this shows my commitment to trying to make the U21 better.

Why you should vote for me
I'm the most experience candidate. I have trained the most U21 prospects. I am the best team builder running. I like long walks on the beach when it rains. I was a pioneer with U21 scouting way back when on the offsite, and now, today, scouting has 9 managers, and counting, employed. I also was the first person to reboot weekly training diaries on the offsite, and now that is the single most popular thing on the offsite today. Also I will also help those with U21 guys, and U20 guys plan their teams to make their U21 guy the building block of their team.

Vote for me, and I will also bring back the feature of Famous Movie speeches as pregame speeches, and my signature U20 combine camp.

Who is Sean Smith:
My name is Sean Smith and I have been managing the New York Elites for 5 seasons in Div.V. I know that bad, but every time I managed my team, my U21 players kept improving every time. For example the player that I got 3 seasons ago named Dedan Bomar, which when he improved, our team started making the playoffs and winning games. This shows that I'm very good with U21 prospects and that I have faith in my youth players.

Why you should elect me as U21 manager:
Even though I'm not too experienced with BuzzerBeater, but I train my U21 players as much as possible and this shows that I show potential in those players. Also, I'm very active with BuzzerBeater and I know the tactics very well. If I get elected, I'll train my U21 players to get prepared for the senior team. But I promise that I'll bring the team back to it's GlORY DAYS!

Vote for me, Sean Smith as your new U21 manager. Any questions should be put in the debate thread.

Hello, and happy holidays everyone. I am here to obviously run for U21 manager. In all honesty though, I hope I get 2nd place and keep my tradition alive of gettin second place in elections because 1 is the winner and the 3 you don't remember but 2 is a better contender.
All jokes aside though, I'm here because I believe that I have what it takes to be your U21 manager.

There's a few things that you should know about me before this election. Many of you probably know be by now, but if you don't, I have been managing on buzzerbeater since season 12. I absolutely hate losing and will do anything it takes to win. I trained a very good guard in Jonathan Yi that was a key contributed to Magiker's first season as U21 manager as well. Most of all though, and I say most of all because I have received many BB-mails about it, I am known for my love of SBing, outside offenses, and wanton to mix things up.

I am running off of similar ideas as I had during last season's NT election, in which I lost by 5 votes to Magiker. That is to mix things up for the NT and U21 teams to give us the ability to play multiple offenses should we want to or need to. Now, I understand this is a touchy topic so feel free to ask questions in the debate.

Overall though, I am here running because I truly believe that the U21 and NT need to begin planning for the future and get away from the same habits. To go along with that, I know that I will be able to work with our current and future NT managers with the goal of creating a better tomorrow. Thank you, and once again, happy holidays!

PS-If you are driving anywhere for the holidays be safe.
