Well hello everyone. After a bit of a hiatus from the forums I have returned and will plan on getting back into the weekly power rankings.

Not this week of course.

However, here some brief notes on what's going on in the league today.

1) After housing the III.6 league champion for fourth straight season, and the 5th in 6 seasons, the Big 8 has reloaded. As it stands right now, the top 5 highest salary teams in the league come from the Big 8.

2) Smedlock just bought a player for 3.3 million, and is still 13 million in the green in his transfer history. Color me jealous.

3) Last season's runner-up (3ball) has made it public that he's not pushing for promotion this season and has made almost 1.5 million on the TL. We'll see how long he sits on the extra cash.

4) There's 5 new teams this season. D2 relegate World Idea toys look top heavy right now, so we'll see what he has in mind this season. They spent 5 seasons in D2, so are certainly capable of getting back there in a hurry. The other new team in the Big 8, Arutunians have a very strong team for a D4 promotee. One of the strongest we've seen this early. On the other side the Oakland Soldiers look strong out of D4. The Portland Red Claws will struggle with depth and DC Dribble Penetrators will need to add some higher talent players if they want to compete.

5) In regards to the new teams, the last team to promote out of this league during their first season was Super T-Rex in season 23. That manager has since gone bot.

6) Picking a favorite right now looks tough. The top two teams from the Great 8 are both retooling. The other remaining semi-finalist from last season, Thunderhorse, appears to be dedicated to training a shiny new youngster. The door could be open for one of the long standing III.6 members to finally make a move up (Door Mats, Chicken Hawks, Eclypze... or even Natellio).

First real power rankings will be out Wednesday.

Should be a competitive season 26. I really don't know what I have with my team right now. It's a good squad, but at some point during the season I will decide if D2 is attainable. If not, I will shed some salary.

Good luck to everyone (except when you are playing me).

I didn't even pay them that much, though. I think they just had it out for Smedlock.

inside box and one looks like a problematic defense. have you used it before?
