It's disturbing to see that there are still players of extremely low value being purchased cheap and being relisted continuously at several hundred times their purchase price until some poor sap overpays. While I assume that the GMs will adjust the prices down somewhat, it's clear that people who do this on a serial basis are still doing just fine by it. And frankly, if people want to day trade by purchasing players who are legitimately underpriced and receiving a fair return for them, they should be able to do so. The problem generally is that prices being set so obscenely above the player's actual value is not at all a sign of managerial skill or market acumen, just a cynical ploy to fatten up on new kids' lunch money.

So my proposal is twofold: first, for every player transfer listed, there should be a "this player was last purchased on X/Y/20ZZ for $X" tag beside the auction price. This should only be updated when a player changes clubs, so self-bids would not be able to inflate that. Second, when a player is purchased from the TL, for the first two weeks, the maximum listing price of the player would be $1000. For the next two weeks, it could be up to 25% of the original purchase price, and then 50% for the next two weeks, and so on. After one full season, a player could be listed at any amount the owner desires. This would obviously not apply to new draftees as they are not purchased from the TL.

The benefit? If you find a player who is truly worth $220,000 on the TL for $5k, you can immediately relist him at $1000 at a better time and reap your reward for finding a bargain by getting a fair price. But you can't simply load up on starter potential 18 year olds and maybe give them one garbage pop and keep relisting the player until you hook a noob and/or secondary account.

I believe there should be a confirmation button that cannot be disarmed if the asking price is too much for the player in question. Like this: Are you sure you want to purchase this player? If they continue: Are you sure you read the price right? Go back and read the first question. This would keep them in an infinite loop, thus keeping these players entertained until they realize they've missed tea time.
