In a game, when the commentary says "he spins from the defender and fires a quick jump shot", which is usually near the basket, is this an inside shot or a jump shot? Thanks.

Why not just look at where the shot was taken at and figure it out yourself. I bet you that can happen from different spots.

Sounds like a Fade-Away, which I think is considered Close-Range, at least according to moutlinho's BB Game Analyser.

As I said from the original post, it is usually around the basket. So I assume it is an inside shot. But this is why I asked the question in the first place, to confirm that. After all, you can do jump shots close to the basket as well...
