I wanted to know how the potential cap worked? I know that based on a players potential they can only train so much, but i don't really get where that cap is. Looking at the players i posted under, has he reacher his cap or how much more can he train with a potential of only starter, thank you guys for the help and advice.

starter is fairly low potential so he could be well on the way. If you you look in the help forum, there is s thread called "helpful programs" (or something like that). I think there are a couple of things in there that show potential cap, buzzer manager certainly shows it along with a lot more other things.

If you use buzzer-manager.com and then look under tools at salary estimation then you will find an estimation of where he is in terms of cap.potential.

It is sad that people new to BB have to know to go outside of BB to find out about a players potential cap. You would think that your trainer would tell you that.
