I really don't like how players when becoming free agents cost money to acquire. I understand that they are looking for a signing fee but surely they would rather play without meeting that fee than retire. For example (18380573). Was the most important player for the Scottish national team and ended up retiring because he had an asking price of $1 million. These players usually go for half of that.

I would change it so they start at $1000 and they join the club who offer the biggest signing bonus. They are FREE agents after all.

The most important player aint worth 1m? Where is the logic? If he is the most important player he should cost the most serious cash, shouldnt it supposed to be like this? If hed be Lithuania most important player i would without any doubt put that 1m bid, but it seems like you and anyone in your country didnt cared about, so stop complaining. Other people arent farms for ur trash nt players, your trash, you take care of it. Dont drop it and complain anyone isnt picking it up. Why should we? If hes trash for you why he should be treasure for us? Cause world spins around ur and ur trash and other managers lives dedicated to only help you? Cause you the most important child in the world? Stop chewing ur mom boobs, Grow up kid. And the saddest thing: even ur mom didnt picked that trash up, because? because she doesnt care about you haha...Seriously she probably does. See, ur mom isnt supposed to sacrifice everything for you even if she cares of you, why should we then? Grow up, and take care of yourself.. Why do people always complain about it? It like for example i would complain estonia isnt building nuclear plant to give lithuania for free electricity. isnt it dumb? its as dumb as ur complaint.

Well that escalated quickly...

I have 1757 players for sale and I'm $25,835,360 in debt. Buy them at outrageous prices, or be selfish and make me go bankrupt. You decide, BB.

LOL, what the hell was that answer?? I got no actual opinion about this, as I agree with both.

1. It's really sad that a player retires when he could help a NT and was trained over like 10 or more years (even if bad trained).

2. If nobody wants a NT player for "only" 1Million, then he should just retire.

Sooooo, I'm gonna bring this to another level xD

Compare this 2 players:
15 Reb/Inside Shot and Defense and rest all 1 (total 50 points) ---> 60k salary according to estimated salary on BBManager.
All skills to 10 (total 50) ---> 20k salary

If they both got the same total skill, why does BB makes focused players more expensive than allaround ones?
Thats is not real, that makes SF's our best option in this game, and PG/C the worst ones, I don't know why salary isnt only focused on the total points..
I totally understand that some skills are better than others and more expensive as a result, but in most cases, I don't agree with player salaries, here its like Drummond and Deandre Jordan gets payed twice as LBJ Carmelo and KD. And I don't like to see transfer page where a Good SF costs always 2M and a good Center costs 1k LOL
I think BB should make something about this but that would change everything on the game tho :S

The easy answer to this is that it's quite easy to mass-produce the IS/ID/RB donkeys - get 18 year olds, play them exclusively at C, train those three skills, watch their salary explode! Same thing with PGs. But training a good SF takes significantly longer and you've got to play them at different positions, which is why there are much fewer of them, which more than justifies not only a salary premium but the TL premium.

If you remove any sort of wage penalty for overtraining players, everyone will just have players trained up near or past 20 in whatever skills they want.

Thats actually truth, and don't misunderstand me...I like training players allround, Pg's with like 12 insides and same for Centers, but I just think it's not real ;)
But to improve it would require some big changes, like changing the training etc..
Like why can't I train my PG's to shoot inside?? Thats part of a real life training xD
I don't know exactly how would the game react if you allow every position to get all trains and then change the way salary works on those Focused Inside/Outside players vs the All around ;)

What the hell did I just read. He brought up some good points and then you came with your inadequate response. Read your post again and consider who's the real child here.
I like the idea, that would save some valuable players from hanging up their shoes for good.

I totally agree on justutukas. If NT caliber players are getting sold for cents (10-20k), it helps only those teams who buy them on Monday and fire them on Sunday without paying any salary.

I agree, and most reasonably knowledgeable managers would agree, but what in the world? Stress much?

I never thought about that point. In fact I never knew that you could get away with that but if you look on the transfer list you can find 250+k C for $1 so if someone wants to abuse the game they can do it without free agents.

Now im curious to know how much people keep reserve. If you can just splash out a million on a player with 3 days notice and keep within your wage structure then you are probably tanking

Yes, it happens all the time (not with free agents), and if you lower the price of free agents there will be even more of this case.

As for tanking, I have a +100k every week in second division and I never had been tanking. This year I'm a bit weaker because I'd started to train new draftees. I could easily pay a million for a player but I don't want to
