ok, im new to this game, and i dont win alot, ive been here for a little over a month and barely got my first win last week, but i think i may have pulled off the biggest upset of all time in this game

my team was ranked 1744 going in, his was ranked 831

Congrats on the win! Looks like you'll be able to win next round in the cup as well. I wouldn't say it was a huge upset though. Your starting five's combined salary was 24k while your opponent's starting five was slightly lower at 22k. You also played CT while they played TIE. Nevertheless, you did an excellent job of predicting his tactics while mixing yours up to secure the win over a stronger opponent, and the extra cup money should be really helpful as a reward.

Yeah, congrats on the win! I personally wouldn't read too much into the ranking--it's not very accurate, especially for new managers who are always training and getting better.

For example, in my cup game last season (68620441), I was roughly a month into my BB career and won as rank 1550 against rank 555. They had a 82k player, more than the total salary of my entire roster! For that reason, I'm sure there are better upsets, by your definition, because there are many better ways to compare teams than simply looking at salary and ranking.

I had myself a good cup run in S22 (my 3rd season), as around 300th (from at the time 350-400 Czech teams) I beat two teams from the top 100, only to lose in the Round of 128 (4th round).

I realize he has a better team but still. The difference between 2nd and 3rd period. I'm sure my coach got some bribes from the oppineet during the half time break :D
