Just thought id give a discussion thread a chance, just list who you think best of all time is in each sport, feel free to add sports you know about, and not mention sports that you dont care about

Boxing = Muhammad Ali

MMA = (tie)Royce Gracie/Anderson Silva

Gridiron Football = Joe Montana

Basketball = (tie)Bill Russell/Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

I'll add baseball and hockey.

Baseball: Babe Ruth

Hockey: Dominik Hasek

For (gridiron) football I can't decide so I'd have to say it's a tie between Tom Brady and Joe Montana, and for basketball, I have to go with Michael Jordan.

Football (your version) : England in penalties (or kicks from the spot, as the Laws refer to it as)
Football (our version) : Tony Romo
Basketball: John Starks
Baseball: Bill Buckner
Golf: Greg Norman
Hockey: Joe Thornton

They may not be the greatest athletes in their sports or most successful, but they are absolutely the all-time best at what they do, which the topic title was vague enough to leave to interpretation.

i dont know much about baseball and hockey, so i will take your word for it

as for brady, he is still playing, if he wins one more before his career ends then id put him over montana, but as it stands now, if he retired tomorrow i would still consider montana better

as for jordan, i hear that answer alot, i wont argue since if i did a million angry fans will call me a troll

Gridiron: Jim Brown. Going the running back route. If he hadn't retired early he'd be on top of the leaderboards on everything.

Basketball: Wilt the Stilt. Never been a more dominant player, except maybe Jordan, but Jordan never dropped 100.

Baseball: Cy Young. Most wins of any pitcher ever.

Soccer Football: Pelé. 3 World Cup wins, scored 650 goals in 694 club appearances, just ridiculous.
