It is sad to see axis123 go inactive, especially considering that it was his team's first season in the ABBL, and that his inactivity seemed to come from out of the blue, but for now it seems that we have seen the last of Home Axis in BuzzerBeater.

There is a silver lining though... there's now an extra promotion spot to division II open for the division III teams this season. For those unaware of the rules regarding bot promotions, if an ABBL team goes inactive, them getting automatically relegated to the bottom level of the league pyramid leaves an empty spot in division II, which gets filled by the division III team with the best regular season record that doesn't go on to win their league championship that season.

Just like a certain 'bainsyator' kept track of the bot promotion picture back in season 19, I'll try my best to keep everyone updated on who's in the running for the bot promotion this season. As of round 17, the division III teams with the best chances of getting the bot promotion were;

1. Coin Collectors (III.1); 17-0, 1007 PD
2. CROCKERS (III.6); 17-0, 768 PD
3. Timequake (III.4); 17-0, 746 PD
=4. Geelong Vipers (III.5); 17-0, 663 PD
=4. Surry Hills Peeps (III.15); 17-0, 663 PD
6. Balwyn Bandits (III.2); 17-0, 628 PD
7. Kaotic3 (III.7); 17-0, 575 PD
8. The Meateors (III.15); 16-1, 696 PD
9. Johnterbury Bulldogs (III.10); 16-1, 687 PD
10.Southern All-Stars (III.3); 16-1, 542 PD
11. Roaddogs (III.8); 16-1, 535 PD
12. The Players (III.7); 16-1, 403 PD
13. Hickory Hoosiers (III.3); 16-1, 254 PD

Teams on 15-2 right now may still have an outside chance at the bot promotion should they not win their league, but right now it's likely that one of these 13 teams will receive the extra bot promotion. Also note that the team that finishes number 1 on the division wide league standings at the end of the regular season, will be guaranteed promotion regardless of how they do in the play-offs.

End of season EDIT: Coin Collectors were in the box seat, but completely collapsed in the final two rounds and ended up in 10th. CROCKERS took advantage to earn the guaranteed promotion, whilst the likes of Sunny Hills Peeps and Kaotic3 took advantage of the faltering teams around them to move up the bot promotion standings. The full standings can be found here; (259265.15)

I think kaotic3 or I or the 2 teams from 3.15 are in the box seat here as only 1 of us will win our divs championship where as the rest of the list will prob win their divs championships.

Anyone know why? Is it ok to talk about it or not?

Im disappointed, as I was knocked out by Home Axis in our conference Final, and the winner of that game was always going to promote into the ABBL. If there was some dodgy dealings going on, id like to know what it was!

I think we can speculate till the cows come home, but the GM's usually never give anything away.

Unless you are running some virus or web-site hacking program, or spamming constantly or posting inappropriate content on the forums constantly, the only thing that I can think of that would get you banned is dodgy trading.

it doesn't mean he did it before your conference final though - sorry! In fact, it probably wasn't. Id imagine the GM's would turn around a dodgy trade thing in a few day's, the account ban would be imposed and gone.

So yer, the dodgy event probably happened after your conference final.

According to someone on chat last Tuesday, haxis was banned because he was holidaying with another BB user, they logged in to the same IP address whilst on holiday, and some butt-f***-retarded GM instantly assumed he was multi-accounting.

I didn't update last night because I was feeling crook. But here's the current bot promotion standings. Hickory Hoosiers appear to have dropped out of the running with a loss last night. 16-2 with a low PD will surely force them to win their division if they want to promote this season.

1. Coin Collectors (III.1); 18-0, 1075 PD
2. CROCKERS (III.6); 18-0, 836 PD
3. Timequake (III.4); 18-0, 761 PD
4. Geelong Vipers (III.5); 18-0, 749 PD
5. Surry Hills Peeps (III.15); 18-0, 683 PD
6. Balwyn Bandits (III.2); 18-0, 677 PD
7. Kaotic3 (III.7); 18-0, 635 PD
8. Johnterbury Bulldogs (III.10); 17-1, 735 PD
9. The Meateors (III.15); 17-1, 725 PD
10.Southern All-Stars (III.3); 17-1, 589 PD
11. Roaddogs (III.8); 17-1, 559 PD
12. The Players (III.7); 17-1, 481 PD

I didn't handle home axis case so I don't know the minute details. Usually the GM's would never ban a team unless he had some sort of evidence to do so. There is also an appeal process if a team thought they had been unfairly banned.

I'll be pissed too and want some sort of explanation if I had a div 1 team, an utopian team and supporter package all disappear.

No update last round because nothing had really changed; all 12 teams won and the rankings based on PD remained the same also. The same certainly cannot be said about the latest round however; the top ranked Coin Collectors were beaten by a surprisingly tough opponent in TheFlyBallers, and as a result, lost several spots in the bot promotion standings. The Meateors also lost, meaning only 11 teams listed in this update.

1. CROCKERS (III.6); 21-0, 950 PD
2. Timequake (III.4); 21-0, 926 PD
3. Geelong Vipers (III.5); 21-0, 860 PD
4. Kaotic3 (III.7); 21-0, 783 PD
5. Surry Hills Peeps (III.15); 21-0, 769 PD
6. Balwyn Bandits (III.2); 21-0, 758 PD
7. Coin Collectors (III.1); 20-1, 1166 PD
8. Johnterbury Bulldogs (III.10); 20-1, 835 PD
9. Southern All-Stars (III.3); 20-1, 691 PD
10. Roaddogs (III.8); 20-1, 662 PD
11. The Players (III.7); 20-1, 546 PD
