Hi I just joined the game and I'm confused so far. I have played similar games like Hattrick but this is not as friendly to new players.

Does anybody out there want to became a mentor of sorts to me? As in advising me what to train, when to upgrade my arena, etc. I'm a total newb and have no idea where to start.

Thanks!

Hey welcome to the game! Yes, it is a lot to take in for the first few weeks, but feel free to ask as many questions on here as you need. Also, you are in good hands with tough giving you advice, so if you start learning from him, you should be just fine! feel free to bbmail me as well, if you have questions.

Welcome to both of our new managers.

Biggest suggest, You get a good chunk of money to start. Do not go out and buy a bunch of players with it to start. I am sure most people waste all of their starting money.

It takes a season or so to get the hang of how things run. Finding a mentor to help get you started can be a great way to go.

Excellent advise! For example: Back in season 8, I blew a good portion of my starter money on a 27 year old center, making roughly 9K. I think I payed something like 250-300K -- which, back then, I believe was typical for a player of his extraordinary talents. It seemed like a franchise changing move. I had made the semi-finals that season, a few points short of beating the eventual D-IV.48 champions. Awesome, right? Wrong! Don't be a f*cking moron! Invest into your arena. Unless you want to end up a few years later playing in D-5, like pathetic freakin' loser... pondering about your life, trying pinpoint exactly where it all went wrong. Was it that one night I went drinking after my 22nd B-Day? Was it the day I got that Mic Jagger Tattoo? Perhaps it was that accidental trip to the gay bar? Or that time I took off my pants near a children's hospital.... Oh, sorry... I got a little off topic.
