Hey all, recently I was thinking doesn't it seem unrealistic that even though you are training say guards that your big men never get any bumps at all. I mean I feel that even if you were focusing on guards your bigs would pop a little. That had me thinking what could help make it more realistic so bigs also got a little bump. I came up with two ideas granted one was through how another game runs but I wanted to put it out there to see what other people would think.
Idea 1: Allow teams to have multiple trainers, so you can develop multiple areas at once. This would really put an emphasis on the draft and growing home grown talent.
Idea 2: This idea came from smallball, a baseball game. This idea places development not just through training but by developing by actually getting minutes in a position. Players that play minutes get training through where they play, while if you don't play that's where the trainer would come in. I've seen a forum about how for a center for example is most important for rebounding, inside d, and inside scoring, and shot blocking, in this example playing a player there would develop said traits. This method also would put emphasis on the draft and developing players in a long term manner.
Both these ideas however would weaken the transfer list market since you would be developing teams essentially from scrap.

One other idea I had to add to the game is a staff member:

A coach with sub skills as offensive or defensive oriented. This would mean the revenue sharing number to go up however across the board.

Well I was just wondering what people thought as I was thinking of ways to make the game more strategic development wise internally. Hope to hear back on your comments.

This should probably go in the suggestion forum, so one of the GMs will most likely mov this but this has been suggested before and has been and always will be shot down very quickly. If multiple trainers were allowed then too many people would just train 6 players and create a monster team from nothing. One trainer is enough. If you want your bigs to get pops from training your guards, place them at the guard spot or train your full team (which isn't nearly as effective but then your bigs are also getting training).

I think the game is strategic enough at the moment especially with the addition of the Game Day Prep. Adding more things can be good, but also keep in mind that we want to welcome newer members to the game and have them at least understand most of the aspects of BB. If we continue to add to many things, only the managers that have played for a long time will stick around, because BB may be deemed as "too confusing".
