Just a curiousity. No help is needed.

Why are basketballs orange? there have been other colors I've seen , but almost all are orange. * and why nothing rhymes with orange ? *
Second, what colors have you seen for baskeballs ?

The ABA used red, white and blue balls.
WNBA uses orange and white.

basketballs are built of sections of leather. i've seen some of those ABA balls, from way back when we had an ABA team. I've also seen a few painted balls. they weren't build that way, of sections, but originally orange and painted after use. I find hte different colors interesting. Perhaps they need a different loook, and the youth need a pattern recognition, see how the ball is spinning,
