Hello everyone,
I propose that BB should have a consolation cup alongside the national cup. My proposition:
At the beginning of the cup, 4096 (8192 for Big countries B*) play their first round. The losing team would be placed in a consolation cup, so that they would play against each other (the total 2048 teams) (B*4096)).

During the second round of the national cup the remaining 2048 (B*4096) compete and the losing 1024 (B*2048) are assigned to the consolation cup. At the same time in the consolation cup the 2048 (B*4096) compete against each other and the losing 1024 (*B2048) are out.

The national cup continues its 3rd round normally and if a team loses, they're out of both cup systems. The 3rd round in the consolation cup however, is formed from 1024 who lost the national cup's 2 round and 1024 others who lost the 1st round in the national cup BUT won the 2nd round in the consolation cup (2048 + 2048 for big countries).

The following rounds continue normally during each week, with the exception that the consolation cup will have one more game total for the Finals. This game could be played within the limits of the season's length currently before any playoffs begin.

As a clarification:
National cup
#
1. 4096------------------------Consolation cup
2. 2048----+2048 losers--->2048 -------->1024 losers are out of both cups
3. 1024----+1024 losers--->2048
4. 512-------------------------1024
5. 256-------------------------512
6. 128-------------------------256
7. 64--------------------------128
8. 32--------------------------64
9. 16--------------------------32
10. 8--------------------------16
11. 4--------------------------8
12. 2--------------------------4
(13.)---------------------------2

Discussion:
Of course, BB would have to calculate the lottery for the consolation cup and more games would have to be simulated (because not every team has a scrimmage after the national cup). The consolation cup matches could bring for example: 25000$ for a normal win and 75000$ for winning the Finals. My proposition therefore would guarantee every human player at least two cup games in a season and a chance for lower division teams to compete more on their own level ( and versus bots). The end-season schedule arrangement is one big issue that I don't have the credentials to organize.

Any thoughts or comments?
Thank you

edit: Tried to find a similar suggestion from the forums, but with no results. I don't know if this or similar methods have been introduced in the past.

I understand your discussion going on about money and training etc. and it's good to know the side effects of any new change to the game.

The reason I proposed this idea is that this new cup model would bring more competition among the new users and give them a chance to reap some benefits (but significantly smaller than that of the current national cup). I believe (if I'm not mistaken) the current cup rounds are generated at random and that always involves new managers playing against veterans and having an "impossible" cup match at round 1. This pulls motivation down for the rest of the season for the newbies and I can say that from my experience a while back.

Perhaps this new cup model could have a positive effect in keeping new managers longer as they see their team winning matches in the consolation cup? This issue is also been discussed extensively for quite some.
