Can someone explain me the importance of stamina?

I already know that a player without stamina will not perform well over a long period of time. The more stamina, the longer a player can play his top game...

But, lets asume player A plays 35 minutes without having stamina and player B with an average stamina, with the same skills also plays 35 minutes, what will be the difference between those two? How much worse will player A been playing? And will all the skills be infected by low stamina?
