Well here we go again another season of B3.

Will a former winner triumph or will a team triumph from a country which has never won B3 just like last seasons winner ZZ Zvezda je zivot (99907) did for Srbija last season.

A recap of stats;

Multiple winners of B3 are;

4 wins BC Toroo (Canada)
3 wins Dionysus (China)
2 wins Venomous Scorpions (Iran)

Countries with the most wins;

4 wins Canada, China
3 wins Iran
2 wins Espana
1 win Italy, Nippon, Deutschland, Argentina, Slovensko, Latvija, Ceska Rep, Turkiye, Moldova, Polska, Srbija

Lots of big countries with no winners

Only 15 countries out of 99 countries that exist, have produced winners of the B3 Tournament in the 23 seasons that it has run

What are the chances that a team from one of the major countries that havent won a B3 title might win the championship this season??????
(i.e. USA, Lietuva, Hellas, Portugal, Pilipinas, Magyarorszag, Israel, France, Eesti, Brasil)

Will last seasons runner up KS Goldena go one better and or will he continue his very long discussion from last season ?

Myself well its my 2nd season in B3 and unlike last season I dont think I have much of a chance

(last season I actually thought I was going to go all the way and win it before I got brought down to earth in the round of 32 by Boston Celtics who I greatly underestimated)

For those who are new to B3, history shows that you need at least 7 wins from the 8 round robin games and a little bit of luck to make the knockout stage.

Much appreciate if participants from this seasons B3 could introduce themselves via this thread and give us all a preview on their chances

Hey all.

1st-time participant from Japan here. I'd like to just get a win. One'd do, more'd be nice of course... but damn: I have a tough schedule for my first trip to the B3.

Just recapping some stats relating to B3

History does show that 7 wins out of the 8 round robin games is required to make the next round but is has happened where teams with 6 wins have made the final 32 or that teams with 7 wins have missed out

Season 28 @ No teams made the final 32 with 6 wins and no team with 7 wins missed out on the final 32
Season 27 @ No teams made the final 32 with 6 wins and no team with 7 wins missed out on the final 32
Season 26 @ The 3 teams with the lowest points difference that had 7 wins missed out on the final 32
(33rd had 7 wins and a points difference of +112)
Season 25 @ 3 teams with 6 wins made the final 32 (32nd spot had 6 wins and a points difference of +290)
Season 24 -@ 6 teams with 6 wins made the final 32 (32nd spot had 6 wins and a points difference of +165)
Season 23 @ 3 teams with 6 wins made the final 32 (32nd spot had 6 wins and a points difference of +234)
Season 22 @ 5 teams with 6 wins made the final 32 (32nd spot had 6 wins and a points difference of +213)

And of the past winners who were still active last season

ZZ Zvezda je zivot (Srbija)
I love Tehran (Iran)
Pirulos (Espana)
Mloty Stargard (Polska)
Venomous Scorpions (Iran)
Dionysus (China)
Sant Mateu (Espana)
-=Defenders=- (Moldova
BC Dingo (Turkiye)
BC Hostivar (Ceska Rep)
Nitra Corgons (Slovensko)
Los Dragones (Argentina)
ESV Laim (Deutschland)

How many "immortals" will make the final 32

All past winners of B3 are invited to participate in future B3 tournaments in perpetuity

(Last season 2 immortal past winners made the final 32)

this season marks my fourth consecutive run in the B3..in all my previous 3 attempts I have finished the round robin games with a 7-1 record and have made it to the top 32 in the last 2 attempts.
this season my biggest opponent in the round robin games is harley davidson.but because there will be no GS or enthu edge in the first game,so I am expecting a really close game against NEET.If I win that one,then I think that there is pretty good chance of finishing in the top 32 yet again.

Hi to all,

This will be my first time with this team. I started 9 seasons ago.

I played the finals in season 14 with my first team. This time i think i have a very little oportunity to go to the best 32, game of tomorrow will be the key.

Welcome aboard and good luck for the season

Another stat that might interest some people is the B3 history of the final 32 teams in B3 last season.

Of the final 32;

6 teams, including my own had never competed in B3 before
5 teams had competed in B3 prior to last season but had never previously made it to the final 32
4 teams had competed in B3 previously with a best finish of making the final 32
8 teams had competed in B3 previously with a best finish of making the final 16
2 teams had competed in B3 previously with a best finish of making the final 8
3 teams had competed in B3 previously with a best finish of making the final 4
2 teams had competed in B3 previously with a best finish being Runner up in the final
2 teams had previously won B3

So in summary

6 teams (of the 32) made the final 32 at their first attempt in B3
21 of the final 32 teams had previously made the final 32 before
only 7 of the final 32 teams had previously had a top 4 finish (or better) in B3

A very impressive 17 point win away from home with very good player rankings, against the worlds 136th ranked team.

Great effort
