I'm back for another 2 seasons. Thank you all for your votes.

I thought I would share a training update from the Season 28 Roster. This is listed from oldest to youngest.

In summary, everyone that is now age 28 or younger popped except one player. Everyone 29 and older had no pops. We especially had some good results on the young end of the list. Unfortunately, everyone 28 and below are basically guard builds.

I will probably cut a few guys from the current roster to make room for 2-3 younger bigs. More on that later.

Player _ Owner _ Age _ Potential _ Pops
Tohru Asano _ Kitakyushu _ 32 _ MVP _ 0
Yuusuke Tsunami _ Ball Busters (India D1) _ 31 _ superstar _ 0
Kouzo Yasujiro _ The Silver Seekers (Sweeden D1) _ 31 _ hall of famer _ 0
Yoshiaki Amori _ Ljubljana Vultures (Solenia D2) _ 30 _ hall of famer _ 0
Katsurou Matsumoto _ Northern Kyushu Ramen Kings _ 30 _ hall of famer _ 0
Mototsugu Sendai _ Aris b.c.t (Greece D1) _ 30 _ MVP _ 0
Eita Wakatsuki _ Kyoto Shogun _ 30 _ MVP _ 0
Takayoshi Kawagichi _ Kyoto Shogun _ 30 _ superstar _ 0
Takayoshi Kishita _ Kyoto Shogun _ 29 _ hall of famer _ 0
Tomohito Matsuyama _ Isehara Pistons _ 28 _ hall of famer _ 2
Shin Shidehara _ Kyoto Shogun _ 28 _ superstar _ 3
Tomoaki Kumatani _ Mythical Man-Month _ 27 _ MVP _ 4
Yushiyuki Miura _ Mythical Man-Month _ 26 _ MVP _ 5
Masa Maeda _ Kitakyushu _ 25 _ hall of famer _ 9
Haruto Mukai _ Hamhama (Tunisia D1) _ 25 _ MVP _ 0
Nariyuki Torii _ Northern Kyushu Ramen Kings _ 25 _ MVP _ 8
Kunihiko Oota _ Mythical Man-Month _ 24 _ MVP _ 7
Tetsu Takabe _ Brutus Buckeye _ 24 _ hall of famer _ 8

P.S. Please let me know if there is a way to post tables to make them more readable.

Well done.

Eita for example was trained every week for 48+ for the entire season & never got a single pop. Really no point training him any more, old & capped.

Season 29 Roster Cuts
For the upcoming season I have decided to trim back the roster a bit on the Guard/SF side to make room for a few younger bigs. With that I would like to announce the release of the following players with a quick explanantion.

Haruto Mukai_Guard_25_Hamhama : MVP but received no training pops last season. I can't hold spots for players that aren't being developed. He's still in very good shape and young enough to be trained so he could earn his way back next season with a good year of training.

Takayoshi Kawagichi_Guard_30_Kyoto Shogun : Solid guard but not strong enough to earn playing time from the core group and will be passed by the younger generation in the next season.

Motosugu Sendai_SF_31_Aris b.c.t : One of our older players and currently our 4th best option at SF. The other SFs are at the same age level so unlikely he ever contributes to the team.

I'd like to thank these palyers and manager for their contributions to Japan National Team.

Season 29 Roster Adds

For the upcoming season I will add 3 new players. These players are expected to be the next generation of bigs that will play for us once our current leaders go into decline. They're not quite strong enough to contribute now and are too old to develop beyond their current levels. However, our future options are very limited and need to be able to monitor and protect these players for the future. We have no good options below 28 years old.

Ichiro Nishimura_PF_28_Kyoto Shogun

Katsu Ookawa_C_28_Miyazaki Rockers

Itaru Takasugi_PF/C_29_Miyazaki Rockers

Congratulations to these players and their owners for making the team

1 our & 1 in I guess the balance is the same & who is still with me in a week I am not sure but Ichiro is much more likely.

Oh, Ookawa made it to the rooster :). Just put him on the list two days ago. In this case I will keep him...

I train the bigs for two more season, means Ookawa and Takasugi will get some *upgrades* once in a while.

Cheers

OK, good, and good luck with that. 11 pops may be tough. I only saw one of our prospects achieve that many and he was 22, but good to be ambitious.

Maeda is one of our best prospects so I'm going to give him a spot on the National Team roster as added reward/incentive for developing him. As long as he makes good progress this season (I won't count on 11) then I would expect to carry him over to Season 29.

I just think if I would have gotten that extra JS/JR pops...

I am hopeful that Torii has a good season this one. Off to a good start: has two pops already.

Sh....t... that was not the plan :(... Ookawa was sold. I just wasn't able to be online around the time the bit ended. Sorry for that, hope the new owner will let him play. What a disappointment...
