Let's talk about Micronations
Micronations are dying
They are getting worse.
They can die in one bad downgrade.
What are we going to do about it?

a) Let them be

b) move them to the nearest country.

c) Create a new country. Promotion format like Utopia but with no extra demoting.

Poll:  What are we going to do

I give my vote for b), to move them.
The game would be more interesting for them to play vs other real managers, and those countries where they would come could get some new active players.

d)
The best solution would be to create four "countries", one by continent, each would assemble teams from its micronations.

I've voted "A" let them be. Why ?

When we've discussed about second team option i said i wanted to open all nations to users that wanted a second team. That would have solved micro nations problem. Another choice has been made : Utopia.

Now, as a micronation's user, i take my fun differently than big nation's users. How ? BBB and NTs. If you put my team in an african league, the competition would be greater of course but many of us would feel wronged cause only one or two african team will be allowed to play BBB. Also what would you do with NTs ?

That would be a problem, thats true. But on the other hand, those african teams never make it far anyway, because the pressure to build a great team is non-exsitant anyway. NTs would be no big problem as long as the draftees receive the nationality of the team that drafted them.

I think the perfect solution would have consisted of opening microleagues to second team users (I dont like the Utopia concept that much, and the flag is hideous too xD), closing/merging a few countries, where it makes sense (Carribean, S/E Asia maybe, Maghreb...), improving user retention by placing new teams in low bot leagues - maybe even introduce third teams or "youth squads" or "Amateur/development teams" to fill lower tier leagues, although that would be some type of overkill...

Or put new teams in an utopia-like country for 1-2 seasons and move them to a real country later...

All in all, way too complicated to do... :-/
