Well this is a really inactive league… But anyways hey guys. Maybe we should get these forums up-and-running for once!

you might get relegated to Division V if you don't win some more games.

Is that how it works?
This is my first year in control of this team/being on this site, so I've been trying to figure things out and improve. Finally starting to score some more points, but it hasn't translated into more wins yet.
Hopefully I get a chance to stay in this league to try and build toward the top, but I guess I'll see what they do to me.

Although I'm doing well, I don't think I fully know the winning formula yet. It's going to take time.

It's all about training. Pick a position or a small group where you want to concentrate on improving for an entire season. This will probably be determined by the players you have. Higher the potential, ie Superstar or better, easier to improve and train. For example, let's say you have a Superstar or MVP potential Shooting Guard. Well, I would do everything in my power to train that person. So, Jump Shot, outside shooting, Perimeter Defense, etc. Then for the other positions, purchase older but skillful players to fill in that role. So, if you're training your shooting guards, for Power Forward and Center, then purchase a 30 some year old player that has some skills.

Other than that, I say you have way too many players on your roster. Cut some of your benchwarmers, etc.

Thanks for the input. I thought I probably still had too many players on the roster. I know when I took over this team there were even more players, whom I've sold a few and such.
The training advice will probably help me since I have changed it to different ones off and on and basically just been doing whole team oriented training.
Thanks again.

You'd have no trouble getting back to D.IV though if you do get relegated, considering all the teams in D.V are bot (computer).

If you don't want to answer, that's fine. But I was just wondering what people's experiences were with the different substitution tactics and which ones work best?
Thanks

Honestly I just keep it at "Let the coach decide". I wouldn't worry about that too much. The main thing to worry about is developing players and purchasing veterans in positions you're not concentrating your training on.

good luck to AddictedRookies in the Finals. It's gonna be a good series, for sure.
