If I put my high-volume-scoring SG at the PF spot and select to play Inside Isolation ... because of his low Inside Shot ...

Sounds counter-productive to me. I'd be interested to hear your results, though.

Inside ISO is not strictly an inside based offense. It is neutral with the focus shifted inside. It leans inside for a neutral offense. Your sg will more than likely struggle in the paint but depending on the OD of the defender, he can exploit with medium to long range shots. Being neutral, it doesn't have the three point nerf of LI or LP. The bigger question is do you have a PF that can slide to sf and a sf that can slide to sg on offense and still be effective? This is what you would have to do and then switch defensive assignments. Otherwise your offense will suffer and your sg gets hammered on defense. If you do have these kind of players for your league, this gimmick is probably not needed.

First of all, I'll say that what Yuck said above me is exceptionally good advice, and I know that the man knows inside isolation.

The way I always think of the isolations is that the game picks your best player of the flavor being run (inside or outside) and then gets the ball to them to create their own shot or pass off. So you'll likely see either a lot of driving attempts by that player, passes to other guys cutting to the hoop, or sometimes kicking it out for a jump shot or three point shot.

I would say that having a pure guard at the PF position would not go well with an inside iso. However, if the player who is going to be defending him is prone to fouls or is obviously deficient in OD, an outside iso might work with that same setup. But it might also fail spectacularly.

You need to use iso if you've P, PG and SF with good secondary skills above all IS, this tactic moves the shots, check some of my matches

It will exploit to a certain extent. If you have the exploitation of the patient offense in mind, no it won't do that. It will have a fairly balanced shot distribution among your skilled players. Seems like it's worth a shot to me. I use this offense quite a bit. I haven't yet in this season but the previous two seasons I have. You do want to have IS at the sf and PF position and it is a driving heavy offense.
