Why would BB put such a player in the system for draft and send it to a team. Only for the manager to fire and its go to the market?

Since his salary does not meat the salary requirements for a fired player, he will retire if fired.

Funny you should say that. In my league's draft, there 9 guys with perennial allstar potential or higher.

this has be the worst player I have ever seen on the game or any game for that matter at 18. I fired him, im not going waste my time with him.

Players that are less than $1k are valuable scrimmage players. Valuable because you do not have to spend time on Tuesday/Wednesday to find a $1k player on the market to fill minutes so that you can manage GS properly. Cup games vs bots or scrimmage games after you're out of the cup are perfect.

Even more valuable are the <$500 players. That's half a week of salary to fill that $1k spot for the 3rd game of the week. And you can keep him on your roster forever vs. buying and firing every week.
