We could speed up the training to make the game more enjoyable for new and old managers.
Mi idea is to start the draft with 22-23 year old players. Then they train at double the current speed so the TSP is the same as now.
Now---------future
18------------22
19------------23
20------------24
21------------25
22------------26
23------------27
24------------28
25------------29
And so on.
I am sure some work would be needed to slow the training a bit as the player get older, but that's a minor adjustment.
When the player is 33 years old, he also drop skills at twice the current speed.

This way new and old managers could start a proyect and need only 4- 5 seasons to see the results instead of the 8-10 seasons we need now.
The game remains fundamentally the same, but people would be a lot more interested/remaining in the game.

It's a good idea, but I would tweak it a bit.

How about simply speeding up training at ages 18-25, and slowing it down after that?

Just like your chart, except players get additional 4 playing years :)

I like your idea because it's simpler. I just didn't want to boost training. Maybe we could just start the skill's drop before the age of 33, so it's a lot easier to implement in the game.
There must be a lot of ways to keep the game the same as it is now, but making it more fun, so we can retain more people.
I see a lot of advantages for new users and lower league teams, but I also would like this kind of change.
At the moment you need 10-12 seasons for a top player. That's 2,5-3 years in real life. I-)

I agree with you, I don't want to boost training either. I'm thinking to simply switch training pool from later ages to earlier ages.

Calculate training effect 18-29, and put at all into let's say 18-24. So when the player in 25, he's a finished product.

Right now, if you want a top notch trained player, he's 29-30, so he has about 4 prime seasons left in the tank.

You also need a season or two to fix free throws/stamina, instead of going after game shape immediately.

In my opinion very low skills need to Pop much faster and the learning curve should not be linear.

There is a difference between learning how to throw a ball (passing 1) or an alley-oop pass behind the back (20).

So skills below X should just pop REALLY fast.

I don't think it's a bad idea, but I personally don't like it. It would be spoon feeding the userbase to train properly..

No it won't and sooner than later we have to ask ourselves what userbase we are talking about.

What you mean it won't? If you do it that way, then everyone starts training balanced players.
