A couple days ago, I bid on a transfer player and had the highest bid at the end time listed. I checked a good 5 or 10 minutes after the auction end time and I was still listed as top bid but mysteriously did not own the player. The next time I checked, he belonged to another team. What gives?

It sounds to me like you didn't refresh often enough. "Check" must be done by refreshing, not just looking in. In the final three minutes of bidding you have to refresh often or your information is outdated.

I did a fresh page load after the end time by clicking on the link to the auction and then refreshed that and the active bids pages. It listed me as highest after all this.

Hmm, sounds like a possible bug. Too bad it was a couple of days ago.

Sounds like it. Based on what happened, this is the most likely explanation. Oh well...

I'm a newb, so I'm not bidding on anything important at this stage anyway.
