I have made a decision to end my Buzzerbeater run today. You guys are so enthusiastic about a simple simulation game and I LOVED IT, especially the wild 5th/6th/7th round cup runs I managed to get with a lower league side every season. Unfortunately school is creating alot of pressure so I've got to push this aside. If you are still magically around in a few years time I will be BACK.

Special shoutouts:
-Barca
-Caleb
-tough
-DcM
-MARS
-wheel154

(Hope I didn't miss anyone who was really important.)

WIR SIND BOXING legendary lineup:
PG: Jesus Himadas
SG: Wong Mao You
SF: Supanut Chatchuangchatchawan
PF: Ayturk Özey
C: Douglas Himes

Bench: DAGGER Yiorgis, LEEEEEANG, Sylvian Faucher

I also have made a decision to end my Buzzerbeater run.

You guys are so enthusiastic about BB.... however:
Idk why I do it to myself. I do not find BB enjoyable/fun enough without the involvement of the country national teams aspect. That's just a fact, there's not a lot to do or enjoy, that doesn't get old real quick without observing/partaking in that scene.

I'm masochistic in expecting the elitist mentality that is indoctrinated there to change anytime soon/ever. So I'm just bothered in why I am stupid enough to keep coming back to BB when its the managers and people I deal with, that make it less enjoyable for me than anything else....

as a sim its really quite simple and easy...
as a financial sim it's even easier...

but every time i try and get involved with the only part of BB that actually has any challenge whatsoever....

Tough, stay true man, 5+ years watched you grow and mature as a person, and you're a legit good dude. Don't fall to the corruption.

BB-Marin - I love your product, I love how you run it, I love how active you are, but I just cannot deal with the ****s in my own nation anymore, nor do I want to be moved to a different country just because of that.

General manager Nick, sorry can't scrim with you this season to ensure we don't get injuries, and that trainees train proper, you'll have to find a dif partner, sorry to let you down man.

I'm 31 years old, and I'm going to find a better use of time on a daily basis. I don't feel satisfied with what I do here, and the things I do that should be appreciated get spit back into my face. that's what having kids are for, and push comes to shove, I'd rather have and deal with my own kids, then do it here for free. My masochism goes so far.

That's a shame. I can't imagine sticking around the game just for the NT/U21 aspect to begin with, but if that's all the game held for you and it's no longer enjoyable I can respect that choice.

But the part about the real challenge? Try doing something nobody else has done before and see how far you can take it. Maybe build the ultimate FCP team? I dunno. If it's challenge you're looking for, that's the way to go. If that doesn't interest you, hopefully you find more enjoyment in whatever else you do going forward.

I think taking the approach funky Town Fire took of just laying low, keeping touch but not really getting into it full bore, building a war chest and waiting for the competitive urges to rekindle is the way to go.

Good luck! Took me 3 years but it's back! Unfortunately I came back at the wrong time, my "war chest" only got me a team that'll get me to Div II - Not the BBB championship I hoped for!

I wanted to tell you something but bb-mail is still glitching, as is tl, so I also am not yet able to buy some scrubs to fill out roster until my team bots, therefore not screwing over training minutes for the active managers in my league.

In response to the quoted part here.

Done all that already. i've gone home grown got as high as D. II

I've done a team of 6 players deep that could play 1-5, got as high as D. III

sure ultimate FCP team, thats what I was working on currently. dunno if it would have worked or not... and frankly don't care.

the only frontiers left the game held of interest to me were the BBB and the U21/NT. BBB takes years of financial sim management and manipulation, as much as it does actually manageing your team and training and outcoaching people.

and U21/NT is a popularity contest, and for 4+ years now I have been on the "outs" with the "cool" kids.
I tried to be civil all of the last 6 months since my return, you saw that. I picked up the slack of people for the scouting during that time, i did everything asked of me and more. Spit back in my face.

I try to run, and i receive over 30 BB-mails of hate mail, I receive personal attacks and clear cut agendas to defamate and discredit me from both players and a GM.

I have some BB-mails I could share with you if you need further evidence, but frankly....

I expect if I posted them they'd be deleted.

I'm surprised most of the stuff there is still left up in 100% honesty... but as you could see with Fury, he did most of his personal attacks and agenda work outside of publicly view-able forums.

I am not calling you naive Hrudley, but there is tons that goes on behind closed doors.

See, the thing is, I don't have any influence over what goes on behind any closed door that I'm not already behind. If it happens in BB-mail, and said BB-mail gets reported, that's one thing. In the forums, that's another similar thing. But it's not my job or even my concern if people like each other, as long as they respect the rules of the game in the forums and don't make me have to actually act like a grown up here.

As far as the challenges, what motivates you is entirely yours. I did the U20 thing in Hattrick, agonized like crazy over it, and ended up not enjoying it at all. What I like is trying to build a team that does something unusual, preferably that "can't be done" according to popular wisdom, and see what I can do with that. But if the only things that you feel like are worth the investment of time and energy are the international game and B3, then you're probably right that this isn't likely to be the game for you any more. It's a shame, but if you're going to focus on the parts of the game that are out of your control and for whatever reason those are inaccessible, at some point if you beat your head on the wall long enough you realize it's not going to give.

Anyway, if you stay, good luck and if you don't, good luck.
