Hello to all and welcome to Season 34. Firstly, congratulations go out to Bethnal Green Erks on his demolition of the league last season to regain his place in the EBBL, we all wish you well in your campaign this time round.

The next set of congratulations go out to the four newly promoted teams with only, Lithuania1337, never experiencing life in division II. The other three - London Kings, Englands Giants and Burdon Terrace Bears - make their long awaited return after spells away. I will have to warn you that this league is definitely the toughest out of all the division II leagues due to the strength of teams on both sides of the conference but you deserve to be here and we all look forward to competing against you. Our final welcome goes out to Wlodawianka who was unfortunately relegated from the EBBL, it's good to have you here and once again, we look forward to battling it out. In contrast we have said our goodbyes to a long standing division II.2 in Leeds Lads - hopefully he can return next season.

Due to the departure of Erks who dominated the division last season, it looks like we're in for a tight affair with either side of the league having teams who could win promotion to the EBBL. The blue side have once again received the side demoted from the EBBL which makes that side of the conference slightly stronger. Last season's playoff sides - Doncaster Hawks, Optic Fibres and Whetstone Wizards - all look strong enough to compete for the top spot of the division whilst BC Snaiperiai will be looking to improve on last season's campaign. Both promoted sides also look well equipped in competing for a playoff berth. On the red side, the conference looks like it's going from strength to strength with both promoted sides containing players that could cause trouble for the more experienced teams. Southern European will be looking to bounce back from the finals defeat last time round and secure a spot in the EBBL, with Kotwa, The Admirals and Cambois Donkeys looking like his nearest challengers. After a reasonable first season last time round, Allll Stars will expect to cement their spot as a division II team.

Will Wlodawianka follow in the footsteps of the Erks and promote straight back to the EBBL? Who will edge the inter-conference games after a close fought battle last season? Will any of newly promoted teams mount a title challenge to win back-to-back promotions? But most importantly WHO will win promotion to the top division to compete against the best sides in the country?

Good luck to all teams, I look forward to a tough season ahead and hopefully we can continue the trend of making this forum very active. Let the games begin!

Note: please feel free to vote in the poll.

As far as I've seen, teams have not been signing new guys for crazy sums (and the market is still quite high!). Neither selling... so, we may see similar results like last season? I expect huge signings during the all-star break or just before playoffs, probably...

Must say: that's a beutiful post by optic with amazing detail. intriguing to read. Last season was my first season in D2 with my current team but hasn't been my only d2 season. However, I have been laying low and building up my arena which I might still do depending on my results this season. Nice seeing an active forum and welcome to everyone who I haven't communicated with yet and the new d2 players. Good luck to you all.
