You may see the pairs of cup games like top tier teams against each other and two bot teams against each other. Or the first round of cup against real team with higher rating and then playing against bot team in the second round...

Is this fear? Is cup pairing true random? Why it should be?

Wouldn't be better to use Olympic system? like 1-14, 2-13, 3-12, 4-11, 5-10, 6-9, 7-8. or vice versa the weaker team to be the host...

My point is to pair the strongest team versus weakest in rating? Why isn't it fair? Why it should be random?

Or maybe you could use the random pairing after all the bot teams are out of competition or something like that...

p.s. I couldn't find any thread about this so I opened this one. I am sorry in advance if I did something wrong, but I think this must change...

There have been other threads about this. Generally it would seem most people are in favour of retaining the current system. Strongest against weakest favours the strong, allowing them to earn more money than those who already have less and are chasing. A random draw is fairer to everyone.

There could still be bots in the second or third round, but because they eliminated human teams first.

That's my point. Why to pair first division teams against each other, while there are some bots left?

Have to agree with this.. Might take a bit of money from lower teams every season but it would definitely make the cup more interesting (even for the lower teams) playing human managers earlier on.
