Hey all,

I just wanted to say hello. I'm not new to the game having dabbled at it in the past a couple of different times. I'm hoping to stick around a bit longer this time around.

It looks like I'll be fighting for my life to not get relegated. I've signed a few decent starter players and a couple of trainees to get me going. I'm going to be focusing on building up my arena and training my trainees. In other words I'm looking big picture as I stand no chance to be truly competitive this season. Hopefully once their gameshape corrects itself I'll be somewhat competitive with the lower echelon of teams in our league.

Looking at the results the past few seasons and where teams are at now, it appears that we have a couple of regulars that will be back representing the Big 8 in the postseason. If I'm not mistaken, the Charlotte Knights stand a good chance at making their 6th straight appearance in the conference championship game. There is also a pretty good chance they will be going up against the same team for the third season in a row in the Red Maple Leafs. As for the Great 8? Unedible Nuts and Ball Boys have been to the playoffs the past few seasons, but they'll have to go up against what looks like an angry Nomads team that is on a mission to get back to the D3 level.

That's all I have for now, I don't want to ramble too much. I'm looking forward to competing against you all and good luck!

Go Hawks,
JG10Hawk.

This is also Pawnee United's inaugural season. Its great to see that my rival has finally become a worthy opponent.

Looking forward to the competition.

Would an Inedible nut be referring to a buckeye?
If so go Bucks!
Very deep pockets buy the way at that

Belated welcome. I haven't looked at the forums in a while. I thought I was almost done rebuilding, and would make a serious playoff run, finally. But two things happened. 1) I randomly picked up a new golden boy in the draft. Best rookie I've ever had. 2) I realized that the first guys I trained up, well, I didn't do it right. Taking stock, I have a great trainee and a decent crew of starters. This is the perfect time for me to rebuild again. I hope to make more progress with the new kid than anyone I've ever trained, and I hope to get a playoff spot. But, I have no delusions of promoting this season. I think that may be a while.
Thanks for explaining the "Unedible Nut" thing. I had no idea. I've never been to Cincinnati. Years ago, I wrote a short story about a street player getting a try out with a mythical NBA expansion team. That's where my team's name comes from. Hope everyone has a good season.

No. But then, none of the teams I've had have seemed really ready. Maybe I don't yet know what it really takes to promote. But when I look at my own roster, and I don't see what I want to see, I am thinking more about rebuilding than promoting. And, of course, my first few seasons I had to learn how to rebuild. Hopefully I've gotten the hang of that, now :)
