In the Blue Lagoon we have Deronimo who starts his 17th season in this little neck of the woods, always near the top of the table, but Lee Thomas in the words of John Lennon knew that as time went on he would get a little bit older and a little bit slower.

Yours truly Greensboro Generals start their 6th season here in the Slaughterhouse Five AKA the Kurt Vonnegut league but it is not Billy Pilgrim who is unstuck in time but Generals trainee Billie Skinner. Just good enough that you are best advised to pack a lunch but so clumsy offensively that you will get the chance to eventually sit down and enjoy your meal.


I Believe That We Will Win is a solid opponent, and could be set to make a move further up the ladder

Nice little intro.
However, my goal isn't to bucket list every D3 league lol. Just kept changing up my team so much. I like where I am now though. I'm going for promotion ;)

Congrats on getting in the win column, now you can look forward to experiencing something I experienced long ago, getting your arse dropped out of the tourney courtesy of the Charlotte Hornets. Though when this happened to me back on the 4th of July 2013 the fireworks were just in the sky, and not on the streets. Then again the only reason you are getting to host the match is because BB has jumped on the bandwagon banning all tourney games to be played in the state of NC. Ok I know that is not really true, but it should be. Hurdley- spread the word and work out the code ANY TEAM IDENTIFIED WITH ANY PLACE PART OF THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA MAY NOT HOST ANY MORE CUP GAMES, and for that matter if some of you wish to show your support for the opponents of the now infamous 'bathroom bill' you are welcome to do so and leave your teams at home. In retrospect I am sure the Hornets are glad not be hosting as having the NATIONAL GUARD on the streets makes getting to the arena a little bit of a hassle.

The bathroom part of HB2 is a red herring. The real jist is that this bill allows for employers to get rid of employees for a myriad of reasons ranging from sexuality to political affiliations to even religious grounds and to not allow those who lose their jobs in this manner to have their grevence heard in state court but only on a federal level which is much more expensive and which has as a really short statute of limitation. Also it takes away the ability for local mmunicipalities to decide on items such as local minimum wage laws and even stifles those on a local level from taking employers to task for issues such as child labor law abuses.


That being said generals fans are plenty ignorant if the numbers of Confederate flags being flown the back of their rusted out el Camino's is any indication.

The riots are ridiculous. All that's really needed to be said.

My job has me going full on Charles Kuralt and traveling from one end of the state to the other. What those riots were was scary. Charlotte is a place with copious wealth displayed in a pretentious manner counteracted with areas of blight. This is particularly so in the south park area which is where it sounds like most of the taking to the streets took place. I went to the south park mall to kill time between appointments about a month ago. Five bucks for a single scoop of Hagen das. Piano player just outside the Neiman Marcus. But around the corner is a full on hood to rival Detroit Ferguso and anywhere else you will like to mention.

And these are not even the most depressed areas of this state. Go east of I-95 to such places as Wilson Kinston Rocky mount Elizabeth City Lumberton and dozens of others where the majority of the populous is quite African American but where most of the employment is either agricultural on what are in essence plantations or miserly national chains and you will see communities where literally it is faith and family which keep the social fabric from shredding.

I'm just glad that if my team and tetro both win tomorrow, I clinch no worse than 5th in the conference. That's always a happy day for me, and then after that whatever happens is gravy.

This has turned into one of those seasons of what MIGHT have been, but my guys keep getting racked up at the most inopportune moments. And now the old Albatross comes shuffling down off the mountain in the continuing efforts of one Lee Thomas to personally sow the seeds of their rivals demise.
