Take these percentages from the game manual, check your economy and calculate:
Fans will not tolerate long losing streaks, especially if a team has the funds to prevent them. They will boycott teams that don’t have at least one victory in each third of the season, effectively reducing the amount of sold tickets of upcoming home games! This means that tickets might be reduced by as much as 50%, depending on current team funds. More specifically, the percentages based on the funds are as follows:

Under $500k = 0%

$500k - 750k = 5%

$750k - 1M = 10%

$1M - 1,5k = 15%

$1,5M - 2,25M = 20%

$2,25M - 3M = 25%

3M - 4M = 30%

4M - 5M = 35%

5M - 7M = 40%

7M - 10M = 45%

over 10M = 50%

The poll means you'd have a negative balance after you take out the loss outlined in the manual

It might be more punitive in D1 because of the way salary floor and TV operate then. At 50% in D1 you're definitely in the red, almost mathematically.

480(tanking teams get less than the average)*0.5+50(this varies wildly but let's assume no NT players)+185=475
-445-30=-475

30k for 3 staff: so you'd need competent or lower staff

I think a lot of people who are voting will, like me, not be in the situation now where we'd be in the red. But considering the boycott will be on top of the fan survey, which will already have reduced attendance, then I suggest that most people would be in the red. Both because of the reduced income anyway, but also because the amount of money you'd hold in your account would also be higher.

I'd get hit by 50%, and I would still be in the green ~ 20k, even though my staff salaries are 80k.

I doubt anyone from our DI would be in the red, and those who don't train could potentially have 100k income, though that's much lower than the 350-400k income they would have had otherwise.

I will be on the red, just waiting to see how much. Already now arena income is very bad (454k) and when it will be half, current figures shows that it will be about -20k per week.

Can someone tell when the first and second 1/3 of the season will end exactly?


I already found out myself.

Other question related to the fan boycot. If you don't win a game in the last third of the season, does the boycot effect will continue in the beginning of the following seasons or does it end at the end of the season?

The game manual isn't very explicit on this one. I can't find if the effect would continue the following season. I would assume it does, but would like to know for sure.
