My team will not be competing or my division; I'll probably inish somewhere in the middle. My question is...how important is it to win cup/ tournament games? I mean, I know I'm not going to get anywhere near winning it. I'll be lucky to win 3 or 4 games max. Other then the money, is there any other particular benefit to winning a cup game?

If you TIE your Cup game you can have higher enthusiasm for your League games.

Huh, I was doing the opposite. My last league game I new I was outmatched, so I played TIE with the expectation of playing better in my next cup game. Thanks!

It seems to me one would be better served to play TIE almost all the time.

That is a very common practise.

I use it most seasons as it builds over the season and can be very useful come finals time ;-)
