when an opponent player goes for drive what skills does our player needs to defend successfully?OD?ID?SB?All of 3 and if yes then in what percent each one?let's say we have a player with 19OD 9ID 1Sb and another one with 19OD 6ID 5SB..who is gonna play better defence on the drive?

You need ID and SB. The reason behind it is, driving layups are close range (inside the paint) actions.
As soon as the opponent has the ball ID defends him. Until the moment of the actual shot. Than SB kicks in.

Example:
The attacker drives towards the basket and his defender tries to hinder him. He does this with his ID.
Now the attacker goes up an releases the ball and from here SB tries to block or alter the shot. Every shooting foul is a failed shot block attempt.
A higher ID will defend more shot attempts (amount), because your player is better in man-man defense.
ID = defense against the man
A higher SB will defend the shot attempts better (quality), because he has a better timing and knows how to stop the ball.
SB = defense against the shot

I think this is not completely true, but it's just an opinion, that's why:

from the rules
Driving: Allows the player to create his own shot without a good pass from a teammate. Better driving creates shots more often and creates better shots on average.

So OD should also be useful because an external player with high driving could build for himself better outside shots
Maybe if the player you are defending has high driving and better JS you need more OD, if he has better IS you need more ID and SB

SB is useful against IS only according to the game manual
Shot Blocking: Will help to block shots. Not very useful for perimeter players.

I'm talking only about driving layup. Not driving as an overall skill.
If you take driving for creating shots without help, you need OD if the shot is outside of the paint. Like you wrote.
If you take the shot attempt driving layup, than you only need ID and SB.

SB
5% of the defended 3pt shots are blocked. So your "only" is not right here. And the game manual says that it is not very useful, but that is still more than 0. ;)

yes, I agree 100% also about SB

I thought the original question was about defending against driving skill overall, but it says "goes for drive"
