Is this a viable strategy? Most the teams in my division have better, older players. Im thinking since i dont have any 30 year or older players, i will spend extra training time on my stamina to boost it much higher, and then play push the ball against those teams with many older players? Will it pay dividends? Thanks!

Hello mate, my suggestion is a real training.

Buy 2,3 players with 18, 19 years (with potential 6 or more), get a coach at least lvl 5 and begin to train them.
On that way you can develop your team, be stronger, or you can get money for them later.

Stamina is not an so good option when you don't have quality players and you can't get the value of the player bigger with that training. If you need some help feel free to contact me.

Cheers!

Yeah..I'm doing that. I've got one18 yr old, a few 20yr old, and a few 22 to 24 yr olds. I'm wondering if in the long picture, will a few extra weeks of stamina training, for my team.that's considerably more youthful then most my opponents, be worth it?

I see you got lot of players for training, in my opinion 3 is enough to train them on 1 position (for example OD on PG), every player play one game in week 48 minutes. It's the most effective training when you go on 1 position.

If your players have lvl 1,2 stamina lets say it could help them a bit, otherwise its not worth to waste your training on stamina on the beginning.

Cheers mate!

Age doesn't affect stamina (apart from the gradual drop in stamina that goes for all players equally), so the fact that your opponents have older players doesn't mean they have bad stamina or your young guys can outrun them. I don't think age should be the reason to go for stamina training.

That said, good stamina is important. If you have multiple important players with 3 or less stamina, you should train it a bit. If you're also training 18-21 year olds, only train it during allstar/offseason so it doesn't affect their TSP training.
