Since 90% of the prices on the TL are unrealistic (at least for the type of players that I'm looking for), and many players are just put for the same unrealistic price over and over again, how about having a Starting Price Ceiling.

Meaning: If you put a player on the TL with a starting price of X and no one bids, next time you wanna put that same player on the TL, starting price can't be bigger than 90% of X.

For example:
- If you put a player for $4 000 000 and no one bids, next time you can only put him for $3 600 000 maximum. If no one bids again, than the Starting Price Ceiling for that player would be $3 240 000 (90% of $3 600 000), etc.
- If you put a player for $500 000 and no one bids, next time you can only put him for $450 000 maximum. If no one bids again, than the Starting Price Ceiling for that player would be $405 000, etc.
- If you put a player for $12 000 000 and no one bids, next time you can only put him for $10 800 000 maximum. If no one bids again, than the Starting Price Ceiling for that player would be $9 720 000, etc.

Each season the Starting Price Ceiling is reset, so at the start of the season you'll again be free to choose any starting price for any player.

Starting Price Ceiling would ensure more fair and reasonable transfers.

1% tax from starting price (paid if player won't be sold) would be much simpler solution. Introducing your solution would lead rather to even higher starting prices.

That's a nice idea, definitely simpler.

Introducing your solution would lead rather to even higher starting prices.

In some cases yes, but the price would inevitably drop very quickly if the player is put on the TL again and again.
