It is more expensive to scout 3 players for 2 weeks, than it is to scout 2 players for 3 weeks or 1 player for 6 weeks, even all of them scout 6 players.
But the cost for scouting 2 players for 1 week is the same as scouting 1 player for 2 week. So you could start out scouting one player per week, and later switch over to 2, and your total scouting cost is $5000 per player. With 14 weeks in the season, you could scout 1 for 7 weeks, and 2 for 7 weeks for a total of $105,000 for 21 player looks.
On the other hand if you start out at 1/week and then decide that you want to catch up so that you had 28 looks, then catching up will be more expensive.
It might be better to start out at 2/week and then consider reducing it to 1. If there are a lot of bots in your league, it might make sense to reduce your spending, since they will draft blind. Or if you are toward the bottom of the league, you will get one of the top picks and might be able to get by with less information. But if you are at the top of the league, it could make sense to continue to spending for 2/week because your best picks will likely be taken by another team.
