Is it wise to put the whole season long money in your scout? or only half way or at end of season? And will that make sure that you pick better players?

Thank you in advance for replies!

Not so easy to answer i think monthly 5k was the minimum scouting i would do, but if you plan to get so much information maybe it was better when you spend 10k from the middle of the season because you got an little credit till that date(and maybe you could max your succes or economy with this money).

But if you like to see more it is cheaper to pay constantly your bills, and even makes your economy more clear.

in my opinion, and this is coming from my experience of finishing at the top of a league and at the bottom, that scouting is a waste of money. My adive is save your money you'd spend on scouting and build it up so you can purchase a really, really good player. I'm doing that this season for a number of reasons.

First, since i got into buzzerbeater i've put the max money into scouting and the returns of this have been very minimal. Max scouting is about 400,000 a season and the players you get in the draft are rarely, RARELY worth that much.

Also the upside of the draft is you get 3 players no matter how much you put in scouting. You could role the dice and see what you get AND with the money you've saved by not scouting buy a really good player.

Thats just my view.

It is more expensive to scout 3 players for 2 weeks, than it is to scout 2 players for 3 weeks or 1 player for 6 weeks, even all of them scout 6 players.

But the cost for scouting 2 players for 1 week is the same as scouting 1 player for 2 week. So you could start out scouting one player per week, and later switch over to 2, and your total scouting cost is $5000 per player. With 14 weeks in the season, you could scout 1 for 7 weeks, and 2 for 7 weeks for a total of $105,000 for 21 player looks.

On the other hand if you start out at 1/week and then decide that you want to catch up so that you had 28 looks, then catching up will be more expensive.

It might be better to start out at 2/week and then consider reducing it to 1. If there are a lot of bots in your league, it might make sense to reduce your spending, since they will draft blind. Or if you are toward the bottom of the league, you will get one of the top picks and might be able to get by with less information. But if you are at the top of the league, it could make sense to continue to spending for 2/week because your best picks will likely be taken by another team.

When do you see the scouting information? Is it weekly or at the end of the season? I'm a newbie trying to work scouting out right now :-)

Yep, at the end of the season you'll see the fruits of your efforts
