how much does experience boost skills? if it does, is it just at the end of the game or is it throughout the whole game?

I know that players with more experience tend to make the right plays, especially in close games (assuming their opponent isn't vastly superior). I want to say that experience helps throughout the game, but I'm not sure.

I think it helps with the player's ability to make clutch plays and also to not make dumb mistakes overall.

It's always good to include a veteran in games you expect to be close. You can be confident they can make the right decisions during crunch time, like draw a foul or take better care of the ball.
