It's a hot mess in the Big 8 with two games left who will make the playoffs and who will fight for their right to stay in DIII (although I think all of you should stay). From Cal Bulldogs to the Mighty Spartans it's going to be a good fight who will succeed.

1 - Blackgate Exiles
2 - Cal Bulldogs
3 - Greensboro Generals
4 - Deronimo

Is how I think it's going down.

The Great 8 is pretty much set although I think the New Bedford Nasties have a chance to sneak in the playoffs as the 4th seed.

I think you can reverse the generals and Deronimo. Hokied has a home tilt against the bunnies and road game at exiles so he should split. Greensboro still needs a win or a loss by both Ladson and Sparty to clinch matters as PD is well in our control. My fellas have been clutch at home going 10-1 but the road is another matter altogether with a 3-6 ledger away from the confines of our cozy coliseum. And this season, like last season, concludes with a pair of road trips. Now management has taken a proactive stance hiring a national appeal PR man which means a caravan will be following along with the SUVs and pickups decked out with team flags and white washable spray paint https://youtu.be/Nzg9cE7-2LQ . Now unfortunately our Tuesday trip to exiles could go badly https://youtu.be/g7lR3YDzKCA though hopefully the trip on the final night to the bunnies will go better, though it is anything but a gimme.

We have a big one vs the CC Mavs tonight on the road, which is gonna be tough. We close the season with the Claws, so that win and the margin may be the difference in whether we make it or not.

Mystified myself, especially when looking at the box score, but that old culprit the free throw line showed his face again. But let's give bunnies some credit, they are playing good ball and there is talent there. Y'all gone straight off the cliff here at the end. And your welcome to continue the free fall right into fourth place. But seems to me the last time there was a 4th for the favorite fictional team in the new river vally you almost won the whole thing.


Management is more than happy to take Ladsons slot in the post season lottery. However either matchup is a stylistic nightmare. Plus we already know we are going into this daunting task without our full complement of pieces. Karl McClain is our for two weeks with a "sore back".....A WHAT? If there is a sore back involved that takes two weeks on the shelf that better well be euphemism for a lacerated spleen. This is the playoffs son.....put some heat on it, soak in the whirlpool, slam goody powders by the fistful, shitfire rub some 'tussen on it.

There are 10 teams that average more fouls per game than me, but still somehow I've only won the foul/FT advantage in just four games! Hat tip to Mighty Spartans though for really bringing the fouls in our two games. You may be the only team the refs dislike more than me.

Announcer: As the clock reaches zero on the regular season all eyes point towards the postseason.

Deronimo seeks to stop their slide and to avoid a return trip to the penitentiary Tuesday night.

Our cameras tonight focus on the cave where the Generals seek to snag the three spot though it will require a win tonight against a bunnies ballclub which has been playing well as of late.

The mavs will have to handle their business at Harrisburg as they seek to retain control of the home court for the opening rounds of the playoffs.

But game winners sit right in position to over take the mavs as they will play host to a nasties club pretty much landlocked into the five hole.

Of course the reason the nasties are in such a position is because the blizzards get the free lap with the corporate controlled claws in town

The shocks may be assured of their demise but they look to leave with their heads high as their run will end in the NoCo.

The kitties sit pretty atop club red and will conclude matters with a trip to the metro to face a dream team seeking to wake from a nightmare second half of the season.

And sparty seeks to steady themselves for the relegation battle by getting some momentum against a bulldogs bunch with their eyes on the final prize.
