Naturally a collage of imagry follows showing the energy and emotion of the season gone past as our narrator imparts the backstory for the festivities. Though his first line is pretty much plagarized from the work of John Facenda.

Announcer: Buzzerbeater is a game, not a war, it's for win or lose, not life or death. But say that in the preseason, the coming of spring brings the playoffs and a season is at stake.

The declining fortunes of Deronimo has led to a final chance at redemption against a Exiles club which is running full throttle.

The Generals seek to solve the riddle of the bulldogs as Cal has taken nine of the twelve meetings between them. But the Generals do have a win earlier this season and while in the words of the doors, Cal has the guns, the generals may just have the numbers. The question is can the generals manufacture enough consistency on both ends to overcome the impact that the bulldogs high end represents.

Over in club fed the kitties should claw right thru a blizzard club which is probably thrilled to have survived the gauntlet well enough to earn another bite at the apple next season.

And down in the heart of Texas the Mavs and winners face off in what could be the contest of the evening though both teams come in backing thru the door as opposed to kicking it in.

Plus we have a full slate of relegation series as the Nasties seek to stay up for another season against a bunnies club that is eager to show they deserve to survive. While Ladson and Sparty seek to salve their wounds against a Harrisburg outfit and a Dream team who both may just be starting to face the sting of the harsh reality of impending relegation.

We will have wall to wall coverage as we will get you to your regions game of interest, even if it is not your game of interest. But hey don't forget all the games are streaming on the app. So go grab a beer, we got it covered here as it's time for the quarter final quell edition of BB2NIGHT

At first I could have sworn McClain was slated to be on the shelf for two weeks. Then the other day I noticed it went to a week. And this morning lo and behold he is ready. Though his DMI suggest he is best served as a supplicate rather than a starter. Total catch 22 to my game planning. What I think happened is a couple of the old timers trapped him in the hotel bar last night and told him "your playing, we didn't come all this way for you to lame out on the sideline in a suit."

Bulldogs management show up at their facility to get ready for tonight with loads of the Generals fans already grouped in the far corner of the lot. Hospitality tents already pitched. Are those, (face palm) oh Lord it is, hey I tried to tell my fans the rebel flag ain't cool but this new PR man is having our caravan pull out all the stops. And you should have seen the horror on the faces of commuters as they drove past as we were getting set up.

Ahhhh the spicy smell of bbq ribs and chicken waift in the morning air. Kegs are already being tapped. By gawd is that ? Yes it is! hey guys Cletus bought his still. Hey the Generals might not win every game, but we've never lost a tailgate.

Well we are just happy to make it out of the relegation games ourselves. I think we would have definitely lost to the Blue against anyone over there this season. Good Luck to all !

No real surprises on the opening night. Aside from how easily the bunnies bludgeoned the nasties. My game was a typical case of what people used to say before fighting Mike Tyson. "Everybody has a plan....until they get hit". Just too much down low, got positively crucified down low especially on the boards. But I will give the boys credit, they didn't fold. Fell down 18, hung around like a nine pound booger (old Madden term one of my buddies was fond of saying back in the day), got close as six with three minutes left but there was nothing left.

Now we stand at a crossroads as a franchise. Time has come to cut bait with some of the elders. But whom and when? This is especially true in the back court as Strong and Taylor still have upside and both are progressing. Yet if either of them are ever going to be part of the future a better course for their matriculation must be charted. And down low I really need to draft and develop a true stud, but Webb and Armstead though both gamers just are never going to be good night in night out options. Sure under the right circumstances either can shine, but tonight their shortcomings were on full display. Skinner and McClain are the same types of dogs, just with different fleas. But they could still get a touch better. Koenig is a supplicant. Supialdi might have another good season in him. Clement may not. Emaloga hits 40 next season so he is dead man walking. And Chasheng will be 39 and has less TSP so he too is on the BB Green Mile.

all things considered a solid maintenance season. But come this time next season the spectre of relegation could be looming.

Well CoachLambini,

They say sports is a young man's game - experience can only carry you so far - youth can only carry you so far - Blend them both and you have a Championship caliber team. I swallowed that pill last season and now I am here again fighting not to get into regulation.

I too am surprise at how easy the bunnies too out the Nasties. I truly thought the Nasties had a up and coming young team to stay here and win it all one season. Yet, that is just how good the Blue is over there. Unless, you see some weak weak teams in the red try to stay out of regulation. Your bank account might depend on it.

Modesty will get you nowhere. You have had one helluva season. You done Corpus Christi proud son.

My bank account has always been wanting. Enough cash around and a strong enough fan base to hang in there. But I lack the funds to get truly transcendent talent to take this to the next level. My training regimes are crudely effective, but again I never end up garnering the type of harvest that is a game changer. It's a uneasy middle class existence.

I remember someone out here many years ago saying, don't get too attached to your players. But it's hard (eyes welling up) were FAMILY here. I mean most of these guys have been playing together for years. Thru the good times and the bad. Hell, Webb and Armstead were the best man at each other's weddings, and McClain is the one who drove Webb to the hospital when his wife went into labor. Skinner went and feed the dogs. Koenig is a fan favorite not because of his play, but because he is the most notorious leg man on the team, you should see his contact list. If it ends in a vowel it is there, he's a regular Lou Bega https://youtu.be/EK_LN3XEcnw . And don't even get me started on the exploits of Pete Tanner, let's just say that when he shows up at the owners mansion the fish stop swiming. https://youtu.be/2Fc1wr3dYxU

Strong and Taylor on the other hand are very nice Christian boys. Strong spends most of his spare time helping care and comfort those in hospice and Taylor is an ordained minister who preachers fire and brimstone.

As for those foreigners, we are not exactly sure what they do. Seems to me their associates are shady.

Pretty upset at myself for repeating tactics in the playoffs. I sat and debated that move all Friday afternoon. I feel like if I went with the other tactic I was considering I would have won that game.

Too much Lvkun and Nguyen. Even those these two competitors have a screen name (Chris Bale) and a team name (Blackgate) which harken to the more modern incarnations of the caped crusader the dominance displayed by the dogs down on the blocks last night straight up symbolized an era long gone by. https://youtu.be/NZaG_13ZIYY

And now on to the finals https://youtu.be/5yYEX9dV34I

I've just got one question for kitties management https://youtu.be/vzN3qO-qc8U

Sybil the soothsayer says.....dogs in straight sets

An upset indeed, never saw that horse umm Dog coming. Don't be too upset George I changed my tactics and still got whipped. Cats vs Dogs I am going to stay a homer and go Cats in 3. Will Blackgate still get promoted ? I need to know if I might have any snowball's chance next season lol.
