Faster pace = more possessions = more shot attempts

It's similar to why you'd play basic offense. If you don't have a stand out player, or your bigmen/guards are both equally good offensively, its good to play basic offense. If you want to play basic, but think you can tire out an opposing team via increasing possessions, it's a good offense to use. It's also good if your team has good Stamina, since you will be able to speed up the game, and make the other team tired, when your team isn't.

Its the same mentality as playing other offences. F .E. you play LI because your C PF SF are a great power and you want to give them shot near the basket. But when LI bumps in a proper defence can really have problems ( many shots blocked, the pg sg cant pass to your pf c so you end up playing with lower shot % ).

But when you want your players to equally have fun on offence you try something a bit fast paced (so you need some extra passing and stamina) but it will lead you to better results. At the end of the day its supposed to be used against weaker opponents to build up points difference

I also think that if you have a game shape advantage or you have more enthusiasm could be useful to push the ball
