It's not normal for inside tactics to have such an advantage in rebounding vs non-inside tactics and it's part of the reason why LI gets so many shooting fouls: inside shot>OR>inside shot>OR until there is a score or a foul. I just witnessed a sequence with 5 shots and 4 ORs in a row in 2 minutes of play. At the end I had 7 rebounds to my opponent's 24, 8 of which OR. My team has average rebounding but I'm playing motion on the road.

It's time that the nonsensical LI rebounding advantage is removed from the game for good.

LI and LP have their rebounding boosted. Meaning you will rebound more with the same exact roster than if you play non-inside tactics. It has to end. Especially because it leads to games with abnormally high numbers of fouls (inside shots already have a higher probability of ending in a foul, if you have 3,4,5 in a row it's almost guaranteed.

Not really. That analysis I posted was only on shooting % it had nothing to do with possessions. And even just looking at shooting efficiency inside tactics were better.

LI is dominant not simply because it focuses on the most efficient kind of shot (inside shots and layups are more efficient than 3 pointers and much more efficient than jumpers) and generates more FTs, but also because it gets more possessions, mostly due to extra rebounding. You will say that outside tactics get more steals, but that won't fly when there are 100 individual rebounds in a game and 10 steals.

I do agree with the rebounding problem. My team in itself is not great at it (after recent purchase of C it is much better) due to relatively low skill on PF, but the difference in amount of OR that my opponents have when playing LI vs my motion or PtB is incredible. The boost is simply too much and I do agree with Lemonshine that decreasing that is the next step to increasing parity between tactics (which did get considerably better since couple of seasons ago but I do believe there is still some work to do)

the disastrous 3-point shooting in the final minute of close games.

I thought this was balanced by the disastrous 3-point shooting the outside shooting tactics have in the previous 47 minutes

Just wanted to add that possessions are where the GE really fudges some games. Pretty much every game where the loser has a higher overall efficiency you can see the GE turned a lot of possessions in favour of the winning team with events not tracked in the box score (e.g. rebounds out of bound).

I'm not advocating anything drastic, but even looking at the coefficients you estimated in coachparrot (presumably with a regression analysis) LI is the tactic which receives the largest or one of the largest overall contribution to team ratings.
