Good point and also this could be a good solution. In any case training SF is difficult for all of us in the same way so for me this thing could also remain as it is at the moment. Check my roster you can see that this matter can interest me quite a lot
If a change has to be done, this could be a nice solution.

what i think bb charles is saying is

if you train a guard in rebounding you dont get results the same as centers and pf

why

1) height factor - you cant win on a frequent basis going against inside battling bigf men for a rebound, so its not wise for a guard wanting a reb to go inside and bang bodies with the big fellows.

same goes as training, as much as height is a factor, i think his jumping ability ( i always thought that jump range has this factor). but for the guards i only see one player that is succesful in this and that is jason kidd. because he knows how to position himself especially for the long rebounds.

but either than him there aint much to say strong guards that can reb on a regular basis. so training a guard in rebounding or will be slow because the environment doesnt gove much of edge, whether he learns to position or jumps high remember the guard will exert more effort than the big men.

=================================================================

the hardest to train of all position is the sf, because you got to have almost all the set of skills since he will be the most of who will adjust to the game playing inside and out.

its really how you mix it up!

That is the problem with linking training with playing time, but that is how BB is set up.

It isn't much different than telling LeBron that he can't start half of the time because you want someone else to also train ("I know you are by far our best player, but you've already played 48 minutes this week - go sit down").
