As I look around in the forum here for this league, I see familiar names from my past. I saw a reference to Streetlight Nightmare and posts about Above The Rim, and thought "so this is where they went when they beat the brakes off me in D IV..." I've lost in the league finals in D IV a ridiculous number of times (IMO) and it seems like all in a row.
So, this is what D III looks like? Holy crap!
I looked at the rosters and thought to myself, not gonna be here long. Then I looked at my roster and said, let's rock and roll! For the first time in a long time, I'm in a league that's full. No more training backups against bot teams during the season. No more not really playing my best team until the last week of the season and playoffs. I'm actually gonna have to manage to train players and win simultaneously against real players!
I looked at the rosters again and thought, ..."teach me, oh wise ones..."
Then we went out in our first game and stole one. So we're not going 0-fer the season. This is going to be an interesting season. I like it!
