O would say that this is the phase of the season when most teams have their rosters closed. No adjustments needed. So, less players on the market implies higher prices.

I agree with what he said. ^^^^^^^^

I think there are just less players on the TL at this time (most teams still don't know if they are going to be pushing for playoffs/title contention or potentially demoting) which makes most teams keep their current roster as is and reduces the number of "good deals" on the TL.

There are definitely still good guys to grab on the TL though. I just got an upgraded PF yesterday for 600k (I think his value was closer to 750k).

Shortly after the all-star break is when you see a lot of players starting to get listed.

You probably right, was looking for improvement for my welfare roster, but prices jacked too high at this moment, and yes, players sells for that much.

But probably it is because of the situation, everyone keeping their lineup. Last season prices were cheapest 2 weeks after allstar, and then rised again 2 weeks before playoffs was sudden spike. As it takes usually 2 weeks to get player in shape, logical.

We are far enough into the season that teams know if they can compete this season or not. Teams are gearing up for playoff runs and such. Buying 33+ year old players can still help out the next season or two. Basically owners are trying to find a guy they believe puts them over the top relative to the rest of their league.

Unpopular opinion.

Teams already made their roster, already know what they can achieve, and their chances to fail. Not many people decide to get into the market at this time of the season, to maintain their roster. Most of the managers who decide to put players into the transfer list), try to over price them, just in case someone outthere is in desperate need. It is a safe moment in the season where you can surely sell a player overpriced without getting damaged on your overall season.

I can attest to this. I recently sold a 36yr old big with 18IS14ID10R with pretty much no other skills for 200k. I bought him for 6k only 30 days earlier.
