this is no normal situation. No team should loose money every week.

This is what you do:
look at your staff. If you have anything above these levels, switch as soon as you have the opportunity to a lower level staffmember:
doctor: level 1
trainer: level 6
PR-manager: level 4
This should prevent you from spending too much money on staff. Once you can make more profit and have excess money, you can start thinking about upgrading these again.

Then, look at your players. Choose the 2 best for each position, and fire the rest (since you say you can't sell them).
This should reduce your wage cost.

Third and very important: look into the game tactics and try to win as many games as possible.
this should bring more people to your arena.

Then set your scouting to 5000 dollars/week, and keep it that way as long as you do not get extra money you can spend on scouting.

Last but not least: try to train your players as efficient as possible.

If you keep to these 5 rules, there is NO way you can loose money.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

Any team that practices sound financial management will make money in the long run, even if there's a short-term loss.

It's not the financial setup that causes teams to bleed money.

Of course you can. If your 2 best players for each positions take too much salary.

I'm paying a tiny bit over $80k and each week I lose money but overall I'm making money because of selling players. If you don't already, get a training program together and train 5-6 players at a time (if you're training 2 positions). Then you can sell a few and replace them with new trainees.

I would get the best possible trainer for this though.

In my first 2 season the only way i made money was through TV games. I'd cut your team down to about 12 players. If the players are all around the same skill level keep the youngest ones.

Also make sure you have a training schedule. I didn't realise the importance of this, and keeping to it until midway through my second season. Also try to follow on with your training, for example. if your training Inside Shot for 3 weeks then go into rebounding cos thats a secondary pop for inside shot. That kind of stuff will help you train better and also enable you to sell players for profits quicker.

Hey man, i´just went into my 2nd season, and me and all the other guys in my group have kind of the same problems!
With me, it looks like this:
I have between 11 and 13 players in may rooster. I pay for them around 55k per week. I´ve got a trainer 7, Doctor and PR are 1. Makes about 18k.
And i pay 10k for scoutung, ok, i could cancel that.

My arena is always "full house", i get around 65k a week, and little less than 10k Sponsoring.

All together, i´m loosing about 10k a week. And the problem is: in a week, ich which i have games! After eeing sent out in the playoffs, there is nothing with arena income! Then i´ll loose about 60k a week!
And after every season, salerys increase. Thats a pitte, because i had a +/- 0 economy, but suddenly salerys increaed by 20% and i had to sell all the players, instead of starting to built up something.

Anyways, thats how it´s going. Try to trade, or train medium player to good ones, i guess we can survive, at all, when i see some guys paying millions for players (- the gap is getting bigger)

To the guys who are losing money,

I've went through your team and your problem doesn't seem to be your expenses. It's your INCOME. You are selling out your games and your fans can't get enough tickets to give you revenue.

Increase your ticket prices. Build more seats. Do something and stop your money from going down the drain. Let's say the fans are gonna give you 100 dollars for tickets, but you can only take 50 because your arena isn't big enough.
