Can someone explain to me why Venomous Scorpions didn't let the reserves play in last season's B3 final? (111935388)

It just occurred to me that he had Stamina very high on all starting five

Very high stamina, much better starters than backups and CPfDC or LCD will do that.

Agreed and you've been on forums enough that you know I proposed several times changes to both sub patterns and, more recently, ST depletion coefficients, precisely to address teams like the B3 guys and even some in other leagues (including the EBBL) having a drop in salary of over 100k between the 5th and 6th player on the roster. We're back in a situation where people can buy mid season or close to the playoffs because...you don't need to have a proper rotation with 8 players, you just need 5 players as long as they have high enough ST.

On topic, Strictly Follow the Depth Chart would also produce the same result if 5 players are set as Starter/Backup/Reserve and there is no garbage time (which was the case here). The 2 extra players were there just as insurance for injuries and foul outs.

But having just 5 good players can lead to problems in game shape right?

With 3 game per week (4 with B3) you have to cover at least 144 min per week per position, how can you do that with a short roster?

Nah because our genius dev decided to tie GS to ST, so players with 9 or 10 ST can easily play 2 games, especially if the team is good enough to have garbage time (and these teams often are). 2 games a week means they could play every single league game.

What you mean with "garbage time"?

So with 9 or 10 in ST a player can play 96 Min/week and still keep shape at 8 or 9?

If your team leads by 20 or more before the last quarter, the starting 5 sit it out (if you have enough substitutes selected of course). That means your starters get ~32-36 min per game. And 72 min per week is perfectly fine to keep decent game shape even on a low-stamina player.

What mink0ff said. You basically need 1 garbage time and you'll be looking at 84 minutes which is just fine with 9 and 10 ST AND a psychologist, which is basically the GS training of old.
