How about suggesting another addition of Tactic Setup tab (Tactics Complexity: Rookie -- Veteran -- AllStar)... Where we can micro-manage everything we want..

1. from how many exact minutes each of our players should play in a game
2. ability to chose who to guard who (over-ride the current Position vs Position matching up)
3. Change of Offensive and Defensive Tactics whenever certain condition matches the condition we set..
Trailing/Leading by x points.... when y time remaining in game... use z Offense/Defense

how do you choose players in advance, without knowing who's going to play in the opposite team?

the only thing you could say is something like "best inside scoring", "weakest 3 point shooter" or "weakest rebounder"
