When does a perennial allstat cap out of his skills?

Ive been training a guy that has prominent inside def for 4 weeks now and no pop. Or maybe this is the elastic effect, since some of his other skills are a bit lower?

It really depends on all 10 skills, and the real potential of that player have decimals and might range from 7.00 to 7.99, so the answer will be rather long. But you can check the percentage of the potential usage from several tools, such as buzzer manager.

As a rule of thumb I believe that perennial players start to hit their cap when their equivalent wage is around 30k. So your player hitting potential cap is somewhat not expected to me.

How old is he? Are you using single position training? Did he get 48+ minutes on the correct position every week? How tall is he? Maybe there is elastic effect more or less, but there should be other reasons... There is also coach parrot's excel worksheet which can give you a quite reliable estimate.

Did he get a full 48+ minutes during the training week? What level trainer do you have? He should not be capped out yet but there is a possibility that he wasn't getting full training (i.e. 48+ minutes) or that he had a very low sublevel and your trainer/training minutes were not giving him enough of a boost to get a pop. i.e. if he has the skill ID=10.00 and your trainer/training minute/elastic etc combination means that he gets less than +0.25 per week for ID then he would not have popped after 4 weeks.

I was checking through your roster, and I suppose it is Vygaudas KaĊĦirovas (48613534)?

And I checked his player history, he played not only C but also PF in the past 4 weeks (since 12/26), so I guess you are currently running two position training?

If that is the case, I tried to use coach parrot to simulate his training (and roughly assigned the skills you did not mention), and if the coach level is 5, his ID will grow slightly below 1/3 point a week.

So, if he started at a very low sublevel (like 10.00), then it is possible that he stay at 10 for 4 weeks (1/1 to 1/22). If you mean he did not pop for 4 weeks (which means staying at 10 for 5 weeks, 12/25 to 1/22), then... maybe he just left for Christmas?

I am not sure if it is allowed to promote an external link in the BB forum, but if you google "Coach Parrot Buzzerbeater", the first result should be a sourceforge.net page which contains the download link.

(Edit: as approved by GM, (https://sourceforge.net/projects/coachparrot/) )
