I'm finally out of DIV (I was trying to save money) and am excited to be in a more competitive league.

How's everybody doing?
What are you expectations for your team this season?
Are the Lakers going to even make the playoffs with all of these injuries?
Do you care about having an active forum for our league?

Top of the morning to you laddy!

In answer to your queries...

1. Exhausted, but a good exausted I run a high volume discount mattress store and we are blowing up, but aside from my regional manager I work with a bunch of lazy aholes so I am in constant bust ass mode. To wit...I have 8 queen sets parked in my the delivery truck outside my domicile I have to drop off at some fleabag motel close to where I live for a proverbial Mr. Patel then tonight I load back up to drop off another 4 to others who live in my area because the guys who sold all of these deals did not charge enough on delivery for me to call in my subcontractor and the warehouse manager who is supposed to assist in getting out the orders for the local stores is not going to run today because he is "reorganizing" the warehouse which is laughable because I was there yesterday and that mother is wonderfully stocked and laid out. And that is nothing compared to how the store I got drafted by the owner to cover last week looked. I am notorious for having stores that are described as looking chaotic, and I own that, but when I rolled up on this locale I was floored by the trainwreck I found. All of 3 display models actually laid out instead of the usual 20 with the mats for the others stacked on top of the beds or flopped out on the sides. And the inventory on hand was literally strewn around and inaccessible and the types of stock on hand was not what we need to have on hand to properly service our demographic. My regional was pissed I got called away and he had to cover my store during a record week, but if he had gone where I had to go his head would have exploded. His brother who is president of the company let the punk who is manager have it when he got back. Both are great guys, but both look and act like Walter White from Breaking Bad.

2. More of a college ball guy, though my Heels did lay a total egg against Whisky. My questions are, is this the year the Zags finally get a title ( yes) and if Oral Roberts and Loyola were to meet should we be on the lookout for locusts and raining frogs?

3. I think my above responses reflect how I feel about the having a active thread!

Good luck guys, I'm gonna need it.

Hey all,

I just got promoted to the league so I should be a bottom feeder this season.

Any words of advice on infrastructure upgrades? I have Merchandise Store lvl 1. What should I do next?

The gymnasium level 3 helps squeeze out a few extra pops each season.

Oh and everybody feel free to join me and others for the best buzzer beater banter at the BB UNDERGROUND https://discord.gg/nJJSAcA

Folks it's my 10th anniversary today !!! It's amazing our silly little game is still here! It is also kind of symbolic from my end that the generals and hoosiers hook up as this Tuesday is the 40th anniversary of IU taking down my tar heels in the 1981 finals. This date how ever is most remembered for being the day Reagan got shot. I can remember it very well, I got home from school and was in front of the tube flipping around when you know you had to actually turn a dial to do so as I was killing time before UVA played LSU in what was the last 3rd place game . So I tune into Gomer Pyle or Hogan's heroes or whatever the rerun fare was on our local CBS affiliate , and here comes Dan Rather or whatnot ( was not Cronkite, he had just retired) with videotape of what happened!

Now there were some decisions to be made if that game was going to even be played, and when it was determined that Ronnie was ok they of course did. But a famed antidote from this is when it was in doubt Dean Smith looked at Bobby Knight and said "co champs" Pretty good team IU had that season as 4 of those guys played in the show, including a guy who was quite the showman at the point a kid named Isiah Thomas, whatever happened to that guy?

One night is knocked out, 21 more to go. Instead of my "traditional" bb2night of the past we will take a look at what happened in the evenings festivities

In the big blue

Allied thumps Tequila 101-80 Vicenç Puig with 23 and Ye Dazhi chimed in with 21 to lead five gunmen in double figures as the APG pulled away late in front of near capacity house at lovely drunken birds arena. Edgar Jamie Cerdon led the losing side with 28 as three mockingbirds made their way into double figures.

Snake slips past Myopic Marauders 89-80. The little things in the end told the tale as advantages at the line and on the boards made all the difference. Israel Cariaco Lee Nieves and Mikko Jäntti combined firva aggregate double nickle to lead the way offensively. Galius Anisas of the marauders led all scorers with 24.

Pop it pulls off 4th quarter rally to top spikefierce 80-76 despite Marlon Schuler 37 for the losing side.

And in your face dealt with the dodgers 106-97 as atlanta could not complete the comeback from being down 15 at the half.

In club red

The war birds came out fast out the gates with a 40-18 first quarter to win going away against 500 hackers as nine birds bagged double figures.

RVU rolled past Northside 101-90 in a game that wasn't that close.

Sebastián Alejandro Loustau had 35 going 9-11 from 3 as overall the generals were 17-24 beyond the arc as the generals handled the hoosiers 130-112

.ànd...... Gobias is preset for going bot as steel city secured a forfeit win

I need to work on the team understanding that after a shot is missed that they need to go get the ball and not just watch it.

I like this roster I have, but I am worried that I cannot make enough to keep it. I figure long as I am in the cup I will earn profit in aggregate but on the other side of the run I will as always be taking a hard look at where I am heading. My fanbase is notoriously flighty and flakey. We better come up with some good promotions!

We tried win a date with a generals cheerleader. and it was great he and Delilah got close but the problem was she left the guy with a dose. Scratch that.

we tried movie night...what do you mean Last Tango In Paris is not 'family friendly'?
I got news for you pal, nether are the generals.

We even tried live entertainment, but alas Dweezel Zappa was perhaps a little too much for my crowd.

And welcome in for the bb2night/bb-underground https://discord.gg/nJJSAcA post game wrap up show

Pop it pulls off another close one 96-91 over in your face Hou Quanqiang headed up five players in double figures for pop. Janne Aapro crushed it for face by filling it up to magnum force with 44, but it was pop who made plays in crunch time scoring the final six points of the contest. Pop it goes to 2-0 +9 PD for 3rd in your face drops to 1-1 +3 and slumps to 5th

In a ragged contest where both teams hovered around 35% from the field it was the gunmen getting their sights set in the charity stripe that made the difference as a 15-17 effort from the line, compared to 4-5 for the marauders as that simple stat told the tale of a 90-81 AGP victory over Myopic. APG 2-0 +30 2nd Myopic 0-2 -18 but will actually move up to 6th

Snake stymied Atlanta 118-95 Stanford Elkins with 28 for the dodgers. Mikko Jäntti led five panthers in double digits with 20.
The dodgers fall to 7th 0-2 -32. The Panthers are 2-0 +32 which porches them stop the big 8 mountain after the first week of action.

Spike spurned the mockingbirds 70-50 in front of a sparse crowd of just over 8000 as Tequila looked like had just eaten the worm shooting a anemic 24%. Spike squeezed out 40% shooting for the night though their outside marksmanship was outstanding going 8-15 from 3. Spike goes to 1-1 and into 4th. Tequila goes to 0-2 -41 and into the big 8 cellar.

In the great 8

Roscoe rolled past Steel City 102-74 Homer Hartley and
Miha Simonič both paced the way with double doubles and five villagers got into double figures as RVU goes to 2-0 +39 and in 2ndthough in many ways a pyrrhic victory as Darwin and Hinson are in the injury list . Steel city goes to 1-1 +22 and down to 4th

Sebastián Alejandro Loustau scored 40 as the generals pulled away late from war birds 104-83 as the Generals go to 2-0 +39 and into first on the point scored tie breaker. The birds go to 1- 1
+3 and 4th

Northside notched their first W of the season holding off the hoosiers 110-102 Attila Güçal, Victor Louis, and Antiša Miličevic paced the gunners attack combining for 71 offsetting a 50 outburst by Ben Grady for the hoosiers cause. Northside moves to 1-1 -3 but down to 6th IU is 0-2 -26 and sitting in 7th

500 got to .500 by default against gobias the hackers are 1-1 +26 and in 4th.

Pop it has been a great story so far with two tight wins. But Snake and Allied look to be the stronger clubs. We will got part of the answer to that as Snake and Pop play Saturday. Over in club red the generals and RVU are on a collision course next week. Unless Gobias shows and dresses a lineup a 3-0 start is assured . Roscoe is also in strong shape to get to 3-0 with a winnable home date against 500.

Announcer: after a night which saw a all-time classic played out in the real world (and shame on you if you missed it) let's see what the league looked like on for the evening as it's time for the BBW NIGHT post game roundup sponsored tonight by gorilla glue, because nothing sticks to you like gorilla glue!

Over in club fed

The generals took their 50 point gift against go bias with no needless energy expended in advance of a big one Tuesday night. Greensboro stays in first at 3-0 +89

Roscoe Valley was also able to take the same tact by only dressing 4 but still surviving the hackers 103-94. Charles Dalton led Valley with 32, Wiesław Ponieważ led 5 hackers in double figures with 26. Valley is 3-0 +48 to settle in 2nd with hackers dropping to 1-2
+17 which sits them in 5th

IU scratched for the first time all season in a big way as a 108-53 smoking of steel city takes them to 1-2 overall +29 good enough for 4th. Steel slips to 1-2 -33 sinking to 7th. Five hoosiers hit double figures with Abraomas Izatavicius pacing the way with 29. Kristofer Walter was the only player with steel city to hit double figures with 11 as struggles from the field resulted in s pathetic 24.7% shooting performance.

And northwood bumped off the birds 90-84 to get to 2-1 +3 into 3rd as a +12 at the line told the story. The birds drop to 1-2 -3 slumping to 6th in the process. Attila Güçalex the winners with 25 to lead 5 gunners in double figures. Collin McMahon led the birds with 25

In baby blue

Snake stuffed pop it 91-75 to move to 3-0 Israel Cariaco had 36 with 7 three balls for snake. Christopher Sisson led 5 pops in double figures with 19. Snake 3-0 +48 to stay in 1st. pop it 2-1 -7 but still in 3rd.

Ye Dazhi led 5 APG players in double figures and the beefy frontcourt combo of Kaupo Sõelsepp and Adrien Guyard both broke out double doubles as APG dusted the Dodgers 93-78 APG is 3-0 +45 in 2nd the dodgers stay winless at 0-3 -47 to slump into the cellar.

The Marauders muscled their way to 1-2 +15 and into 4th following a 86-53 squash of Spike Fierce. Fierce struggled all night as shooting woes a touch under 26% spoiled their chances.Marlon Schuler personified the struggle scoring 29 but having to go 13-45 to get there. Bruno Mascarenhas led 4 myopic players in double figures with 20. Spike falls to 1-2 -17 and 5th

And Tequila tasted victory for the first time this campaign as Thomas Cavanaugh and Arnaud Carrère combined for 46 to pace a 91-75 win over in your face. Face was led by Tan Suhadinata with 25. Face falls to 1-2 -20 6th. The mockingbirds move to 1-2 -25 7th.

Roscoe comes calling at the Coliseum on Tuesday as the 2 club fed unbeatens battle. The top two in baby blue both have home dates in their efforts to keep pace with each other.

Announcer: as the season continues to sort itself out we got a little better idea of where everyone stands

In club red

The generals rolled past Roscoe 116-76 Sebastián Alejandro Loustau lede 6 generals in double figures with 28. Charles Dalton of RVU led all scorers with 29. Greensboro goes to 4-0 +129 1st Roscoe drops to 3-1 +8 3rd

Warbirds shut down steel city 80-58. Collin McMahon led 4 birds in double figures with 21. Norman Rodriguez collected 17 for the callers. Birds go to 2-2 +19 and 5th Callers 1-3 -55 7th

IU held off the hackers 112-103 Abraomas Izatavicius hung up 38 for the hoosiers who drained 17 3 balls. Abraomas Izatavicius led a balanced attack from the hackers with 24 as 7 scored in double figures. IU 2-2 +38 and still in 4th. Hackers to 1-3:+9 but sinking to 6th

And northwood took the 50 spot from bias to move to 3-1 +53 2nd

Pop it pulled a slight surprise with a 74-61 win at APG. Christopher Sisson with 22 leading 4 in double figures. Li Than Tay with 17 for the APG who could not overcome shooting woes of 27%. Pop 3-1 +6 still in 3rd APG 3-1 +32 still in 2nd

Snake thumped Tequila 100-80 Thomas Cavanaugh with 27 to pace snake Lajos Vas off the bench for 18 as 5 mocks did hit double figures snake 4-0 +68 to retain the top spot tequila goes to 1-3 -45 to remain in 7th

the dodgers dropped to 0-4 -59 and square in the celler as spike secured a 111-99 win using a 43 point final frame to key the conquest. Marlon Schuler with a huge night hitting for 48 as spike was a efficient 52% from the field including 7-11 from downtown. Giulio Poggi and Jérôme Itier combining for 56 for Atlanta. Spike 2-2 +5 to settle into 5th

And face managed a 96-84 win over myopic. Janne Aapro leading face with 27 Walid O'Regan with 20 for myopic. Face 2-2 and dead level in PD while myopic goes to 1-3 +3 and down to 6th

Kind of a mixed bag for Saturday night with perhaps the dodgers and mocks fighting to stay out of the big 8 cellar being the most compelling matchup of the evening.
