Do the isolation offences only pick players specifically on the position they play or do their skills get taken in to account? For example if I choose to play inside isolation with a guard that had high IS, will the guard get the ‘iso’ or will the game pick my best PF/C to ‘iso’. Likewise with Outside isolation, would that only pick the best guard to ‘iso’ or good an outside skilled PF/C get the ‘iso’?

Good question.

I have a small sample of isolation-games. From my observation:

The engine is looking for the best matchup, so e.g. shooting on a pf might help when playing outside-iso.

High driving helps (for creating the shot)
Dribbling helps (for avoiding turnovers of the ballhandler)
Passing helps (for assisting vs a good defensive-possesion)
Driving of teammates helps (Cutters getting assists)
